With this Jon Harbaugh trade talk that came up recently why don't the Steelers try trading Tomlin? Lol seriously. Everyone in the media always says if the Steelers were to ever fire Tomlin teams would be lining up to grab him.. Well, let's see.. Thoughts?

    No.

Trade Butler instead. Offer him and Jerry Olsavsky as a package deal. I would rather see them go before Tomlin. Those two have done far more harm than good all season long.

Trade him for Belichik, straight up. Take some of the stigma out of the Steelers/Pats matchups for sure.

What they should do is trade Tomlin and make Munchak head coach. If they let Munchak go and don't retain him if he gets another coaching job Ima going to be pissed

Unless they're high when they did the trade as a joke, then woke up in a cold sweat praying that it was only a nightmare.

Hopefully how the Rooney's were when they hired Tomlin.. If they were high and not in the right state of mind I can forgive them to an extent

Yes. We could finally get just enough to replace the duct tape in the weight room!

Tomlin is probably high when he keeps putting burns and sensabaugh out there, it keeps his rush going.

It's like me when I go to McDonald's. It's not about the quality,it's the quantity.

I think within the NFL Tomlin isn't really respected as a HC, so I think the market would be very weak for him. No-one wants a drama fuelled locker room every year. It would be amazing to actually get rid of him and get something back into the bargain.

Actually, I have read multiple articles from coaches who were glad to come here because of Tomlin.

Now that doesn’t imply they are good coaches.

Meh, that's PR really, no incoming coach is going to say any different. That doesn't mean the incomer is lying by the way, but no-one is ever going to say the opposite.

On what do you base this idea that Tomlin isn't a respected HC? Tomlin never would had made it this far if he wasn't a respected coach around the league.

Tomlin would have a job within a day if we fired him. He is well respected.

Yeah as a def backs coach. People will say he's well respected, but people aren't stupid they know he's not a HC.

They pay him lip-service, do you really think NFL insiders who have had 12 years watching his clown show really think he's a top quality HC?

Are we going to have to go through another off-season of Tomlin threads? Yeah, I know, don't read them. I am going to give the Steelers and Tomlin a year to right the ship. I think he might have it in him to tighten the reins. Chances are it will be the same, but you never know. I do wish TTF would create separate forums for discussions on Tomlin, AB, Bell, and the next drama that pops up.
