Anyone hear who we may be looking at to replace Porter and Saxon? I have not read or heard anything but I have to think with all the draft stuff coming we need to move quick no?

I’d bet on billy Davis, seems the Ohio State connection is still strong.

Jets named their HC. Maybe the Steelers are waiting to see what Gase does with the staff. They may be looking to hire Greene if he’s not retained.

Way too many people high on Greene. For me I don't want them to hire him just because he's a former Steeler. That hasn't worked out well in recent past.

Greene would be 10X better than Joey Porter ever was. I doubt Tomlin would welcome him onto his staff though. I really don't see him coming here but I would love it if he did.

Him being a former Steeler is only part of it, he did good things in his time with the packers. 5 years 203 sacks with Matthews getting 50 of them, the guy is very good with rookies as well. He has earned the job not cause he was a former Steeler but because he is a darn good coach.

That has nothing to do with it for me. He’s a meticulous film watcher with an eye for spotting weaknesses and exploiting them. He coached up Matthews about something he saw leading up to the SB against us and it paid off.

The Tampa 2 was overrated and is now outdated.

I'll bet he knows how to unleash hell though.

This. Some former players cannot teach. Some can. Those that can have learned how to not only educate their corps of players in the fundementals but how those very fundementals can be applied.

Kevin Greene can do that. Porter could not. The results speak for themselevs. Knowing who the good coaches are should not be some divine form of rocket science.

Why replace Porter? Didn't Butler coach all of the linebackers by himself? They only need one linebacker coach and he is already on staff.

you know, Tomlin may not be good at many things but he is damn good at unleashing hell when he means it.
