    Found it

New York Jets - Apparently, Mike McCarthy has now turned down the Jets coaching position, which means it could be Adam Gase, but the Jets are also interested in Kliff Kingsbury and former Baylor Head Coach Matt Rhule. It’ll be interesting to see how this goes, because how will the Jets and Cardinals fight it out for the Gase and Kingsbury duo? Will someone else insert themselves into the conversation?

If Munch does not get any HC job, why not make him the OC. Not sure why Fichtner gets a pass during all this talk about firing coaches, but BB has regressed to his careless ways this last year with Fichtner in charge. Sure, one can say that BB will throw a hissy fit, but man up. Do you want your buddy running the offense or do you want someone who can protect your rear?

But...If we did that we wouldn't throw the ball 50 times a game, and Ben wouldn't get all those yards and we wouldn't be.........................Never mind

With Munch staying, he could be our future head coach if Tomlin misses playoffs again.

Munch has never served in that capacity in the NFL.
He always either been an offensive line coach or a head coach.

    Yup, its official. Phew.

I would hope that Tomlin is officially on the hot seat and Munch the fast track to succeed him. Probably wishful thinking on my part but I'm sticking with it.

I'd like to think that but with this ownership it wouldn't shock me if this same scenario pops up again next year.

The Steelers lost Bell to a holdout, then had his replacement miss three games. Their kicker went from a Pro Bowl player to one of the worst in the league. With all that going wrong, they still improved from 2017, scoring 428 points, up from 406. They went from eighth in the league in scoring to fifth and improved dramatically in red zone scoring. Why would they fire an offensive coordinator when the offense improved this season?

I'm certainly thrilled about them likely keeping Munchak and I'd be very happy to see him as head coach if they decided to move on from Tomlin, but based on the offense's production this season, Fichtner does not deserve to be fired.

Now if they can just fire Butler and hire Gregg Williams to coach the defense.

Yeah well Payton had bounty gate, and he was suspended for a year , Carroll teams had their problems too, backstabbing each other, offense vs the defense.

And Carroll quickly got rid of every single one of those guys except earl thomas who was the best player of the lob and probably will end up in the hall one day and he didnt really cause problems until this yr because he wanted a contract or to be released. Payton did have bounty gate but imo bounty gate wasnt bad. They actually won it all the year of bounty gate but I'm specifically talking about these type of things AB did. You saw how quick Payton got rid of AP for looking at him wrong for not putting him in the game?

    https://www.cincyjungle.com/2019/1/...horse-candidate-for-bengals-head-coaching-gig

Thought this was interesting, and not that he's even on their radar (and I also had to clean my screen with bleach after visiting their site), but despite the overt vitriol between us and them - it was a little eye-opening to see their media portray our organization as something to which the Bengals inspire. "This is how Pittsburgh does it."

I take this one of 2 ways - either he's waiting for the Jets to have a miserable season next year, and then swoop in to take the job.

    OR

He's waiting for MT to be fired next season, and swoop in to take his job. L to the OL.
