This will be the point where some suggests Faneca because he has done some coaching internships.

Actually, if we're throwing names out there, what about Joe Thomas? He was a phenomenal player who put in the work to be an elite player. I wouldn't mind giving the OL to someone like him.

He has been doing some TV work not sure how he feels about coaching. I'd certainly let him try an internship.

Okay, just getting back to this, agree Ben played great on the 3 games prior to Cowher's super bowl win.. The only other comment I disagree is your remark of Cowher apologists. To me Cowher wouldn't put up with the crap MT takes from his players and the Steelers teams had a totally different mindset and culture. So it really gets tiring to hear Tomlin apologists continue to think he does no wrong. As Steeler Head coaches go it ranks in this order: Noll, Cowher, Tomlin and it's not even close, and I watched every game in that time frame. Enough of the Tomlin love fest, the only way to fix this team is to change the HC.

Lateral moves aren't too common. He'd have to be given a better position or maybe if things are worse here than we know, he'd want to get away from it. Otherwise, I'd think he'd stay and just take over this line.

I wasn't thinking lateral move. If he isn't offered a shot at interviewing for the position coach opening and they were planning on keeping him an assistant position coach while Munch becomes HC in Denver and offers him the OL coach position he would be dumb not to consider it.

I am not putting the cart in front of the horse but I have a real bad feeling Munch is getting the Denver job. With that said here are some names to think about: Frank Pollack who was on Marvin Lewis staff, Rick Dennison(jets) and Jaun Castillo(let go by bills). Let's hope we don't need to talk to these guys.....

If Munch leaves, our coaching staff is in a pile of trouble.

Damn man that stinks that tells me he is good as gone. Look up that Frank Pollack from Cinny his oline coach rating is top 5....for the record the site I was on this morning had Munch at #2. It might be time to start looking at other guys........:(

munch's daughter lives there as well. he is spending time with his grand daughter too. makes it easier for him to hang around there even if it's for the coaching vacancy. sarrett will be a pretty good coach i believe. he has worked years with munch here and knows our players. not real worried about that coaching position. would like munch back but we are covered if not.

i am serious about tim spencer though. he's the bucs current RB coach. he's from near pittsburgh. my ex- team mate in HS. Ohio State ex-RB coach and also ex- bears RB coach. his wife i believe still has a practice in columbus, ohio and they still reside there in the off-season.

You know what....at this point we might as well ride this train wreck until it completely derails. Once it completely goes off the track next season and we finally have that " losing record". We can pick up a whole new set and put it back on....hopefully.
