They might be lining up for AB, but that doesn't necessarily mean any of them will be willing to give up a lot.

    Let's look at Randy Moss.

2005 (age 28), MN traded him to Oakland for already washed up Napoleon Harris and a very high first round pick
2007 (age 30), Oakland traded him to NE for a fourth round pick
2010 (age 33), NE traded him to MN for a third round pick. He was waived by MN four weeks later

So MN did get a lot for him in '05, but after that not much.

So is AB at age 31 (at the beginning of next season) more like Moss at 28 or Moss at 30? I'm leaning toward Moss at 30, but who knows. There's no way I would take on that contract and that problem in exchange for a first or second round pick, especially if I know the Steelers basically have to get rid of him.

It would be great to get a high pick for him, but I think you're delusional if you think its a slam dunk.

He’s like uber-Moss. And re: taking on his contract, remember that the signing bonus portion already has been absorbed by the Steelers. He’d cost his new team something like $12MM annually—very affordable for the best WR in the league.

I think an trade of AB will command at least a 1st rounder and probably a 3rd rounder with it.

Or a fairly decent player and a 1st round pick.

I'm not sure too many teams in the Top 15 of the 1st round are going to put out a pick for AB. Since being in the Top 15 is prime positioning in the draft.

Now someone might trade a 2020 first round pick and roll the dice or a team outside the top 15 might be willing to deal a 1st rounder in this year's draft.

    Should be interesting.

    Maybe SF's 2nd rounder this year 2019, and their 2020 1st rounder.

That's almost as good as getting 2 1st rounders for AB.

We have the wrong gm to handle moving picks around.

If we trade AB, and I just found out he is very tradable as we would net $1 mil in cap savings, I would trade him for an up and coming CB who is on the cusp of being recognized as a top CB plus draft picks.

No one is trading a first rounder imo for AB considering his contract and age. May can get a 2 for him and that's a maybe.

I see 2nd rounder at best. Given his age and contract I dont see it.

I think Cam Newton needs a top receiver like AB and Carolina had an off year so they will be in the lower half of the draft so their picks have more value. AB would accept going to play for Carolina (you have to consider AB would want to go to a contender with good QB). I would think Carolina is ideal trade partner.

People act like eating $6-7million in cap space is nothing. You also have to replace him and that will cost something.

Oh and then there is the fact that losing maybe the best WR in the NFL will kill our offense. You all enjoyed the Juju show last week? With out Brown JuJu can be shut down. So we would absolutely have to replace Brown with a solid WR if we expect to be in the playoffs. Lets not forget we missed the playoffs with Brown and JuJu.

We desperately need an ILB and improved Safety play...oh and a good OLB opposite Watt would also be huge. Not to mention we need to replace Bell. You all think we will get a 1st round pick for a WR that's a head case? I'm not so sure.

Why? Just because the last time the Steelers moved up in the first round of the draft was to get Troy Polamalu?

What people don't seem to understand is that Smith-Schuster isn't close to Brown. He doesn't run routes as well. In particular, he doesn't make those sudden cuts that get him open at the last minute even in tight coverage.

Cooper definitely had elite potential. He posted 2 pro bowl seasons with how inept oakland has been. Dallas understood what he was going through. He also is STILL under his ROOKIE contract and once again is only 24. 6 years is a lot of time in football. T.O in his prime was traded for nothing from san Fran to philly. Moss at 30 was traded for nothing. Stop it.

I'd love a trade to the Bears for Khalil Mack, that would help. Maybe they would bite if we threw in Dupree as a bonus....LOL!!!

Oakland/London/Vegas gave up a 3rd for Matavis Bryant. They may be willing to deal for AB considering they have plenty of draft capital this year

You don't trade a talent like A.B. This offense will suffer because of it. We don't know that Ju Ju can be a #1.

I think Ben would be be off without ab and have a better season next year honestly.. Think he won't be forcing it to ab anymore. Idk what the final numbers were but I think when Ben had 11 picks on the year 9 of them when he was throwing to ab so his interception numbers should go down without him along with his Td numbers but some of those picks costed then games so I'll take the lower int numbers

I’d take that first overall for him. Probably straight up.
