It's part of his job but towards the bottom of importance. I'd expect people to act like professionals but then again it's the Harrison, Bell, and Browns showing their ass and never Heath, Ward, Juju, Decastro, etc. Sounds like individual issues to me but carry on.

I don’t care what advice a little silverback on his shoulder is whispering in Antonio Brown’s ear. He’s 31 years old—a grown-ass man. He’s responsible for his life choices.

I don't disagree with you on the individual issues. That's a given, and I wish we had a team-full of those others. But it's up to the manager, whether that's in a professional business setting or a professional sports team, to round up the malcontents and clunk their heads together. For nothing less than the cohesiveness of the team. You don't let JH or AB get away with the things they did. Failure to do so is a failure in management of your team.

I do remember that, and I agree with everything you said. Tomlin is no longer capable of managing the personalities on this team. His response for years has been to sweep problems under the rug. You can only do that for so long before your sweeper breaks. It's time to pull out the broom on Tomlin.

Since JH is on a roll with getting players out of steel town. I hope he does it again with Burns , Butler and Sensabaugh.

I'm not so sure about that. You removed your signatures. I think you are starting to question your entire purpose on this board. Don't lose track of who you really are....put the sigs back.....

Agreed but my point is you cut the heads off snakes. He shouldn't be around the team anymore and not invited to Steelers events. AB is probably a really difficult guy to get in touch with or be around. They made Harrison getting to him a lot easier.

I agree but you have to agree he held it together with Bell and AB for a long time. At some point it's going to boil over. They let Harrison get away with it because they were trying to do him a solid and let him retire with the Steelers and not ruin his legacy. Just like how they tried to be nice and still invite him to events while he stirs the pot 24/7. Moral of the story Steelers are too nice.

The problem is that Tomlin isn't going anywhere. As long as coach Mike is in charge AB is going to keep doing stuff like this. I don't believe that AB respects Tomlin. It's hard to fathom trading AB, but at some point enough has to be enough.

I definitely think AB needs psychiatric care. I have thought that for a while now.

I do blame Tomlin, but Harrison is hell bent on being a cancer even in retirement. At some point show some class.

We are all falling apart and heinz is sitting on his throne smiling as we all scramble and hopelessly cling on to any last bit of sanity and try to make sense of what is happening to us.

I betrayed @HeinzMustard@HeinzMustard and said we were going all the way, such foolish I am, the signs were always there but I chose to ignore them despite the incessantly nagging doubt creeping within my cerebral cortex, the negativity and doubt silently whispering it's cold breath that the end was coming.

No, stubborn as I was I fought on as the gladiator that I am. I chose to make a mockery of destiny and kept on posting positivity on this forum. The people of TheSteelersFans needed someone to step up and stepped up I did despite waking up in a pool of my own excrement every morning in bed, despite the negative layers of a certain team surrounding me getting closer to glory and thus ending any chance of any argumentative weaponry I had...

Like a man facing his own demise I wake up colder each day, sanity lost, laid in my own tomlin-esque filth, looking up shedding tears as my Cowher poster is crumbling away, I know know this was all just a mirage, a dream some may say, i chose to ignore the signs, I chose to ignore heinz the great, and I now accept my fate.

As much as I dislike Tomlin and think he has lost control, I don't know who would be able to control AB. AB is on a whole other level. Get rid of them both I guess.

LOL. I am right with you. Every year before the pre-season starts I am convinced we are going to win a Super Bowl. It's sad to say it, but there is no way I will feel that way this time around. The truth is very few changes will be made and we will be on here in November talking about firing Tomlin. I am not even convinced Butler gets the ax.

A lot of times people's personalities just don't click. Just look around here :smiley1:. The problem is winning and success cover up these differences. Like Blast said a guy like JH was brought to tears about DL and not so much about Tomlin. No one really paid much attention to that but now it's being realized because JH still wanting to win and be successful wasn't being fulfilled by Tomlin not playing him and also refusing to release him. JH said himself he probably doesn't sign with NE if he had more time to weigh his options and I think signing with NE is a big reason why so many are upset. If he would of signed with any other team especially a non contender for instance. People would of laughed at him. Tomlin and Porter straight up lied to JH about playing time in the preseason and during the season and when asked to be released they refused that as well. Only then did he start acting like a fool.

As far as AB he is really making himself look like a goddamn moron. He is handling it like a child. With that being said we don't really know the whole story. Just lots of speculation as to why he is acting this way. It could be the MVP situation which would be so extremely immature I can't even fathom it. There are rumors that he did tweak his knee in practice and was frustrated by that. I don't know anything for sure and no one really does at this point. There is a whole lot of **** going on with this team behind closed doors. When you have someone like JJ coming out. You know there are much bigger problems. Blast makes a valid point about the players and Tomlin. There have been plenty of comments made by players and lots of questions need to be answered . Winning cures all but where are the answers and who is providing leadership and keeping guys together when they're not....

It's very tough to be a "hard-ass" coach when you clearly don't have nearly as much power in the organization as we fans would like to think. Belichick can do it, because he's the GM and coach. He can hire and fire any player he wants at his whim any time he wants. Tomlin can't do that. Things go through Colbert and Art II. Hell, Tomlin hasn't, even after all these years, had complete freedom in choosing his coaching staff, for pete's sake. The problem is that the organization is not set up to support a hard-ass coach. Even Cowher had to pull a power move in ousting Donahoe in '99 to get more authority. The players see all that. They can defy Tomlin because the organization doesn't like giving their HC full authority.
