Quite an accomplishment to further cement his HOF landing... Did zilch for the season ultimately. Love Ben and always hoped he'd curb stomp the bad turnovers but he is what he is. He Always gives you a chance. He's the least of this team's problems argue it if you want, but it's true. If you want to focus on the Denver game so be it... He kept em in when the rest of the team **** it away up until the point that the gunslinger due came to be paid. Didn't need to happen but those were the circumstances.

He won't be around much longer and we'll all miss him when his times up just like Bradshaw before him.

I won't peg him as the reason we lost more than we should've this year as the blame game has a lot of rounds to make to cover all reasons.

The problem is the turnovers happened in to many games this year. I believe Ben had 18 turnovers by himself. A few other players contributed to that number. 18+ turnovers loses a few games unless the defense or special teams could make up the difference.

Im too lazy to look it up how many picks did ben throw in the losses compared to the picks he threw in the wins this year

Mahomes does things I've never seen a QB do. He just might knock Marsha off of everyone's goat list. (I'm in the Joe cool camp)

Not saying it was a good thing, but I'm in the "meh" camp about the INT at the end of the Denver game. Never would had the chance to happen if Grimble doesn't try to stand up to a full-speed safety at the friggin goal line instead of easily side-stepping him for 6, or if Connor doesn't fumble when someone breathes on him.

I'm not impressed. Every game Ben throws for big yardage we lose. We throw for 5000 and we don't make the playoffs. He's tied for the most interceptions and the offense looks lethargic at times. I would take a well-balance offense with Ben throwing for 250 and we running for 130 and win the game anyday.

As I have pointed out for some time now (years), if you could limit Ben
to about 38 passing attempts a game . Steelers winning percentage
goes way up. Maybe the Steelers will eventually find that run/ pass ratio?
Ben throws it to the other team to much. And it will only get worse if not curtailed.

5000 yards, so what. I feel getting away from the run game is a big part of why we sit here today feeling empty. Well at least I am.

I feel that Ben plays better with a balanced offensive effort. But hey, that's just me.

But I"m sure the fantasy fans are loving his 5000, sans the picks. A lot of picks.

We were #1 in pass attempts and #31 in rushes this season.

Most imbalanced offense in the league.

Sorry, folks, but my "Ben love" tank is empty. Apparently this old man can see what you all refuse to see. Ben had a great HOF career. It's OVER. As far as I'm concerned, Ben has become more concerned about himself and his stats than he is about the team. He wants to throw the ball all the time to make his numbers look good. You all will hate me for saying this, but for me, Ben has become an annoyance and his hanging on only prolongs the start of a rebuild. He has "maybe" one more mediocre year left in him which, imho, will put a black mark on every thing he did before. I wish he would retire before the QB he WAS is all but forgotten. We NEED a new QB and we need to find him ASAP. Face it, it's gonna be a few down years and rebuilding before things turn around. I try to look at things from an impartial view, and I've been telling my friends for the last couple years that the sun is setting on Ben, and the entire franchise. We're simply NOT the Steelers of 10 years ago, no matter how much you all lie to yourselves and pretend we are. We're NOT an elite team anymore. It happens....time to deal with that fact.

It’s a pass-happy league, and he’s a quarterback. A great one. I think he’s probably just quick to go to his arm if the running game isn’t firing in all cylinders.

In games where Ben threw an interception, the Steelers were 6-3-1. In games where he threw zero interceptions, they were 3-3. In games where he threw 2+ interceptions, they were 2-1-1. Imo, Ben throwing the ball to much is not the problem.

Wow, I didn't realize this. I knew #7 would run the show over Fichtner and your comment just proves the point.

Your forgetting the fumbles from other players. And the inconsistent secondary defense.
