La Canfora's info is also usually wrong. I don't know how that guy has a job.

They care about their reputation of being a head coach safe haven.

Someone needs to explain what's so wonderful about Colbert, too. Missed on most of this recent 1st round picks, was completely blind to the Bell situation, has no ability to add impact players outside of the draft. The old way does not work any more. See Green Bay.

But they talk about it all the time during games so it's very important!

As I stated in another thread; T.J.'s development is likely due in part to the knowledge of his brother's knowledge and tutoring. Furthermore, T.J. Watt was a natural in the B1G Ten when he made the switch. He is truly a special player without question.

This essentially means that T.J. Watt is an anomaly given his circumstances. The fact that Dupree and Chickillo could not develop much of anything befalls on Porter.

The offense is Ben and no change is going to change him. Someone mentioned this week about wasting picks on Dobbs and MR well yeah because they are trying to force them to run Ben''s offense and when he is out Tomlin refuses to "reinvent " the wheel. So until Ben has hung it up you can try to force change all you want but he will do what he wants.

Knowing the org. Tomlin will continue as head coach into the end of his contract (2020) If production hasn't improved and he's not terminated I personally will do the honors.. :butcher:

Doubt he gets canned. I see him getting kicked upstairs to be the Bungles GM.
His secondary gets torched quite a bit also but that's happening league wide.

I think their development falls on the shoulders of having no vision of what they want their players to be. So instead of giving them a path they are all trying to round out in all areas. Jack of all trades master of none so to speak

I ain't saying change. Everyone is blasting defense and not mentioning offense at all. Look I dont care if we change a single coach. Players gotta step up. Coaches ain't fumbling or throwing picks. Slipping on kicks. Not tackling or covering.

True but some of the players gaffes clearly show that the coaching isn't there either. Take last week when the Saints used the same blueprint the Chargers laid out. Once it was clear that was what was happening. Butler and Tomlin should have had the Lber on Thomas jam him hard at the line while Davis moved closed to the box to cover him over the top instead of free release and Davis trying to guess where the play was going. Poor prep and tesching.

    Porter?! NOTHING!

He's failed to develop any of the OLBs. He was good at it in College, but none of those guys have amounted to much in the NFL either.

I really think they should have went in heavy on Green and dropped him a few years ago.

Exactly right about Ben. As far as Tomlin goes, I don't think he should or will be fired, I just wish he ran a tighter, more disciplined locker room. It's too bad Butler can't go back to LBs coach. More talent on defense, a clearer offensive identity so as to increase efficiency, and more discipline all around through assistant coaching changes need to be looked at seriously during the off season.

Yup! Davis is left trying to cover that ground with a free release everytime and we wonder why he takes bad angles.
