I would keep Alualu and Burnett for one more season. Other than that the rest can go.

Alalu was good in 2017, but I don't remember him doing much in 2018. Burnett you can't count on him to play 16 games, and he makes 4 million.

Yeah, they can ship them all out. They are going to have the cap money from the Bell fiasco, plus whatever they save by those on the list that are cut and under contract (not FA's). They have to get some play makers on defense, some guys that can make plays to close out games and get off the field on third down.

 

7 to 10 players possible in positions of need so the draft won't leave much room for depth players. Free agency is a possibility depending on what they are planning to do with Bell again this year. Not questioning your list just how to rebuild depth and draft for the position upgrades they definitely need.

 

Burnt Toast would be priority #1....after that just start tapping players out....mainly on defense.

 

And James...My God is he slow, unathletic, trips, falls, can't run, jump, or catch...Never understood the love for him...He is rotten!

The Bud Dupree draft pick really makes me upset. I didn't like the pick when it happened and I don't like it now.

 

Dupree is not worth 9mil.

 

McCullers, Ridley, Walton, Behre, Sensabaugh, Chickillo, Alualu, DHB and Hunter contracts are up so they would have to be signed again.......as for the others.

Burnett is signed for 2 more years and if we cut him it would cost us 2.8 mil while saving 3.6. Dupree is the tough one cause he will make 9.2 mil making him the 7th highest paid on the team. If he is on the team the first day of the 2019 league year it becomes guaranteed.

Here is another thing right now we have 38 players signed with 28.6 mil cap space. The interesting thing is we have 6 guys making 10 mil or more. Three of defense Haden 11.9, Tuitt 13.6 and Cam 14.9.......the three of offense DeCastro 11.9, AB 22.1 and Ben 23.2!

We don't have a ton of money but we will have some but we aren't going to be big shoppers in FA. Players do need replacing but we need to find better replacement while still being able to afford them and fill out the team under the cap.

 

I think Davis returns for the final year of his deal, he's cheap also. Burns might come back to camp, but if he's still struggling get rid of him.
