I know that there is probably a 5% chance of that happening. Even that maybe a generous figure.

But for discussion purposes, who would like to see replace him?

Some guys I hope we would take a look at:

    James Bettcher, NY Giants
    Dan Campbell, New Orleans
    Pete Carmichael, New Orleans
    Dave Fipp, Philadelphia
    Don Martindale, Baltimore
    Dave Toub, Kansas City

    Would Munchak get some consideration?

Marvin Lewis should the Bengals wake the hell up and dump his ass :)

Hey at least the Steelers might be able to give the poor guy a playoff win.

I like Josh McDaniels and what he brings to the table offensively.

BTW, the argument we hear from people who like Tomlin being "Who do you replace him with?" is such a phony argument. Who was Tomlin before the Steelers dug him up? He wasn't on anyone's list.

I like McDaniels but it sounds like Kraft wants him to succeed Belichick when the time comes.

The Steelers will never win a Super Bowl as long as Tomlin is the coach. His one Super Bowl was with Coach Cowers team.

McDaniels is too flakey , to me he seems like a guy who could just nutout at any given time. Wasnt he a HC already and failed ??

People used to say that Cowher would never win a Superbowl as long as he remained the coach.

Tomlin proved that he can help this team remain in contention and get to the Superbowl and win it. There's no reason to believe he can't do it again.

That being said, coaches don't win championships by themselves. It's up to the organization as a whole to produce a Superbowl winner. Producing championship winners is extremely difficult to accomplish. Alot has to go right and ultimately need some luck to win it all.

Ill take winners and competitive teams until the Steelers can produce another Superbowl winner.

But fans had no idea who he was. And his name wasn't even mentioned until Cowher was out the door.

I hope he gets sacked by Burfict.

Seriously though, this. To borrow Coach Cliche's... um, cliche - we can't live in our fears. We can't hold onto a coach just because we're afraid that there are no guarantees with a relatively-unknown commodity in a new HC.

He failed miserably in Denver. They hired him after Mike Shanahan was fired after the 2008 season. In 2009, the Broncos were 8-8 after starting the season 6-0. '09 was the year when there was supposed to be an agreement in principle to send Cutler to the Pats for Matt Castle, but the deal was a mess. Cutler was then traded to Chicago for Kyle Orton. The Broncos started 2010 3-12 at which point McDaniels was canned There was also some sort of illegal videotaping incident involved, but I don't recall the details. So, yes, McDaniels is flaky as hell, and he can stay in Foxboro. He's not the driving force behind that offense anyway.

All we need is someone who understands calling Defense and isn't a total liability on game day.

I'm willing to take anybody. This is the first time I have posted here, sought out this forum because he is driving me nuts. This team is too talented to underachieve like they have under him.
