I'm not sure what the point of the analysis is? I assume it's at Bell's best he was slightly better than Connor this year. But I think a more relevant analysis is Bell more recently(2017) vs Connor this year. Because no one is signing a 2016 Bell...that will be 3 years ago and in RB years is a career ago. And if the point was to determine value based production...is Bell's .5 yards of increased production worth $14 million more in salary a year? Probably not.

Where scouts and GMs make their money is predicting the future. I think Bell vs Connor for the Steelers is a wash. I really don't think there is a big enough gap for the money--and think Connor will put up comparable numbers to Bell over the next 3 years (barring injury). And I think we all agree we'd rather pay a top MLB, safety, or OLB than a RB for this team specifically. That said, I think Bell has more value for another team...we just dont NEED him...he's a luxury.

Yeah I don't get why he went to 2016 for Bell, but a good objective analysis nonetheless. Certainly not without bias I'm sure, but it's cool to see people breaking it down like this. They have more time on their hands than I do apparently lol

I think most would agree that that 17 mill per year could be spread around in different ways to help this team other than RB.

Bottom line: I'm glad we have connor..... I'm glad we have Samuels......

I'm glad bell is gone.... may the jets or chiefs be happy with their new overpriced rb with a full yr of rust

If Bell had signed the tag and played this year instead of Connor, right now the Steelers would be 8-6-1 and in second place in the AFCN and out of the playoffs, because Tomlin is still the coach.

Only reason bell is talking about Indy is because of their massive cap room.... he thinks he deserves mo money and Indy has it available...... the question is.... are they willing to spend the bank.... doubtful. Conner replaced bell...... samuels replaced Conner..... without missing a beat.....seems like we have a good system of OL players plowing the way for anyone to run. I say give some of that saved cash back to the OL, not an over priced RB.

I seemed to have missed the EPIC analysis.
