It should mean having Haden follow Thomas all over the field and try to at least play solid in coverage everywhere else. As stated earlier, the real key is the front seven because they have to take on a very good running game and get pressure up the middle on Brees.

Add one more key to the game in the health of Terrell Edmunds, who is in the concussion protocol.

Don't sleep on Smith. He lit the Eagles up for 157 yards. They also spread the ball around to 3 other guys in that game that I never heard of who are not on your list there.

Smith is a burner, I'm worried about him with the focus being on Thomas and Kamara. Then there is Watson, Steelers struggles with TE's is well known.

This would be a heck of a win if the Steelers can pull this off in New Orleans.

The Steelers finally gave Gronkowski all the double-teaming they should have been putting on him for years. I don't think that will happen to Watson.

Obviously, keeping the ball away from Thomas is huge, but Brees can make any group of receivers look good. If the Steelers aren't in his face all day, it will not go well for the defense.

Brees looked very uncomfortable against Carolina. Need to keep the same Defensive script pressure pressure pressure with more attention to stopping the run. Also need to keep the balanced Offense. Can't have Ben throwing 50 times. Unless were getting shelled.

Balance is important, but I imagine they are going to want to attack the Saints' secondary early and often. It is the weakest point on a very good team.

As they should but don't abandon the run as we have seen in previous losses

You know who I'm concerned about? Watson... that is, unless Butler and co. are going to draw up a plan similar to Gronk.

Also worried about fast turf. Can our db's stay with their man long enough not to get burned deep?

I think Gronk has been getting shut down by everyone, he's hampered by injuries or age or both likely.

yes he lost his jock strap and strained groin muscles trying to stop that last second TD against Miami

In all seriousness they covered him alot better then they have any other TE all year. They went into the game with a plan to bump him so he was slower coming out

Brees had 0 TDs and a pick in this game, thats not a sign of being comfortable, Kuechly was in his face all night and had 13 tackles, brees had to much heat to be comfortable.....

stop the run and I think we win. Need to be on top so we can use our strength(pass rush) vs their weakness right now(banged up O line)

Any word on Unger he left the game to get checked for a concussion. He didn't return. That could be a big blow for them and allow us to get pressure up the middle. Something to keep a eye on.

I hope the defense can bring the.same emotional intensity the Panthers did... The announcers were talking a lot about the intra divisional rivalry.

Also... Ben Roethlisberger not forcing balls to AB when he has 3 Saints DBs covering him.

Hilarious... but I have to give reality and Ben a facepalm:

I don't know why, but when Stewart, Brister, Maddox, Tomczak, O'Donnell, etc... threw INTs, I didn't get overly pissed because they were average QBs. When Ben throws one, my blood pressure goes through the roof.

Saints have only not scored over 30 points at home once this season at home. They are coming off a 3 game road trip. Their fans with be even more fired up.
I think it's Carolina did some good things against them and I think we have a shot. I like these kind of ball games.

Goal one, try to score 30 or more. Try to get them under 30 or less. If it comes down to the final minute I hope the ball is in #7 and not #9 hands.

not even elite playmakers stealing an int, it's just a dopey gift wrapped slow ball to the defenders chest lol.
