Agreed. I live in New England and watched with this game with my Pats fan buddy, who says the same things. One takeaway from this game, is that the way the Ravens play, they will be very difficult for the Patriots to beat in the playoffs even at home.

In any event, this is a heroic win that is one thing we can hang our hats on this season. Finally!!!

I was worried though after Edelman caught that 34 yd pass on the Pats drive at the end, oh no here we go again Brady is going to win at the end with a TD and 2 point conversion.

do you think that would be the way Bellichick would want to go .. conversion or regroup for OT?

The Pats won't lose to either Buffalo or the Jets at home so the Texans are going to have to win out to prevent them being the 2 seed. Otherwise - the Pats road to the SB is bye, home vs Texans (if seeding holds) and then either a road game at either KC or LA (whoever wins the west - LA wouldn't be a disadvantage) or a home game vs anyone else.

They aren't as good as previous years - but that road isn't too tough.

I wouldn't of been surprised if he went for a 2 point conversion.

At times they looked unstoppable, mixing in personnel packages to keep the Pats off balance and then at other times they were running into themselves giving up big plays.

Nowt "lasts forever" but in the general scheme of things they've come about as close as you can. I was kicking around in the 80's when our dynasty crumbled. Old age comes to us all. :(

I get it, but if the Ravens somehow beat the Chargers next Saturday, you won't be.

Ravens beat LAC, Colts beat Giants, Titans beat Redskins, Steelers have to beat Saints or they go home in week 17 unless Browns beat Ravens or Colts-Titans ends in a tie.

Really needed Colts or Titans (or both) to lose this week (and whoever lost this week to beat the other in week 17).

I know I thought we go again I’ve seen this movie before. This makes the Raiders lost hurt that much more. We’d be up a game and a half I think on the Ravens if we would’ve beaten the Raiders. Cincinnati with the back up quarterback beat the damn Raiders today and we couldn’t beat them come on. That said we did beat the Patriots and we’re still in first place but now we have vaunted Saints next. That’s going to be an even harder test then the Patriots.

I agree. I don't think either offense played particularly well. The Patriots killed at least two of their own drives with dropped passes on third downs and Brady threw a ball up for grabs for an interception, the type of mistake you very rarely see him make. He also did a bad job on the fourth-and-15. He needed to step into the throw and drive it into Edelman's gut, but he fell away from the throw and it sailed. (By the way, give Ryan Clark credit for that analysis. I saw it in his breakdown of the game.) It's the kind of throw Brady usually makes, but today he wasn't getting it done.

The Patriots also took way to many penalties. Was any of them even a questionable call? Maybe one?

I'll certainly take it and I love the way the Steelers hung in there at the end, but this one was far from pretty. The Steelers need to play even better next week in New Orleans. They might need that one to get in the playoffs.
