Other: a convincing win over the Patriots that includes all three phases of the game and shows thoughtful game planning and timely adjustments.

Other: go at least 2-1, win the division, win 2 playoff games with strong performances and have a very strong showing in the AFCCG. That’s my minimum. A lot of damage has been done, but my expectation going into the season was to be at least in the final four, and if we get there and at least make the AFCCG close I’m ok with another year of Tomlin.

Bottom line - my minimum won’t happen unless he pulls his head out his arse and does a good job to prepare team down the stretch. If he does that, I can overlook a lot. It’s how you finish that counts.

Butler... I want gone no matter what. I just don’t see him as being a guy who can go brain vs brain with the league’s brightest OCs. We have had more blown coverages and been set up for more bad 1v1 matchups this year than just about any team I’ve ever seen. If we get to the AFCCG it won’t be because of crafty defensive scheming. It will be because of offense and individual performances in our front 7 in spite of the schematic blunders.

None of what I said is likely to happen though. This team is sleepwalking (as DeCastro put it) and I don’t see it suddenly waking up for 60 minutes of football Sunday.

honestly It would take a SB win for me. I want him to win with his guys and actually outcoach opponents. We have seen him win against backup qb's and alex smith, also get tebowed/bortled. It's all on him. We shouldn't even be in this position of hoping to make the playoffs, should've had the division locked already.

Butler has to go. Even if we win the SB with our defense shutting out the opponents lol.

It would take going to the Super Bowl...For as bad as they have been ( mostly self inflicted )this would tell me that Tomlin rallied his team, Behind immense odds, and their lowest point, to the summit...

As bad as the D has been, special teams, and coaching...It would to a huge and honestly remarkable turnaround...I am not whatsover expecting it...Actually, It is so far fetched that if this ( a Super Bowl apperance ) would buy him another year...

Because that would thell me that the players DID respond to him...That he DID make adjustments...That he DID beat a lot of good teams, IN A ROW...

I don't think there is a snowballs chance in hell this happens ( wish it would ) and if not...He should be fired, Because he collapsed...Simple as that..No in between

looking around the league no other team collapsed like we did. This team can't handle praise at all. It's like they want no lube when bending over it's just ridiculous. Come from behind, facing adversity, drama filled movie like sequence of events.

win 10 in a row? "hey guys we can rest everyone and still win"

This kind of team is just torture, I mean i am obviously not handling these losses well lol

I want to keep him regardless. Not because I think he is perfect or the be all and end all of coaches but because most other NFL coaches aren't any better and are likely worse.

He has to win another Super Bowl before Ben retires. As much as I want him Gone, I think Mr. Rooney will see the loss of Shazier as a pass for Tomlin this year.

If he gets rid of Butler & starts the transition to a 4-3 Steel Curtain.

That gave me a hell of a good laugh!!!!

I don't give Tomlin much thought because regardless what happens rest of year he will be on the sidelines next season. Not saying I agree but it's just a fact. The Steelers will not fire Mike Tomlin. Now if middle of next season we are looking terrible then I'd start believing Mike may go.
