At that point, Bryn Allen would have been a better choice.

    (Look him up, kids)

His explanation doesn’t make sense to me TBH
MOVE a corner on Allen , don’t leave a LB on him . It’s simple High School game planning, tell your best to cover and stop their best from catching the ball
Force their hand , make them go to another WR or make it them change their plan
I’m sorry but his outlook on this is just “ popcorn “

All I know is KA has been struggling much of the year and has his best game against us. Naturally.

There is a reason Brian Allen is on this roster by the skin of his teeth. It is because he isn't very good. Unpopular as this will be, the Steelers should have put Artie on KA. I know he is struggling, but he was our best option.

He would of been better by putting Hayden on Allen where ever side he went to.

This is what I don't get. It's not like either of them were covering someone *better* than KA. SMH

Just read the article. My conclusion is....he's a dumbass. He and Tomlin really need to get and stay on the same page in the book of excuses. Initially they blamed injuries(Burnet) or being short handed(Sutton) In another article on Steeler Depot Butler is now claiming that they expected a run so they subbed in Bostic for Fort. Does he not realize that QBs have the ability to audible? So does it matter what he expected? Once Rivers saw the mismatch, what do you think he did.
Maybe his most alarming excuse is that the gameplan was a good one that worked in the first half. They hadn't covered Allen all game. Here's a word fof you KB I know it's a big one. It's called adjustments.....

I don't know if he has been struggling. But I do know that he had his biggest game of the year by far against the Steelers.

Yes, struggling. He has 7 games of 72 yards or less. Only 3 games over 100 yards, his biggest against us with 148 yards. After week 1, he didn't find the endzone again until week 10.

If you are impressed with his numbers, thats fine, Im not. He had a monster game against us, way better than he had been most of the year. Steelers seem to make everyone look great.

He has 996 yards receiving this season. Keenan Allen was playing well coming into the game. The Steelers failed miserably in their attempts to cover him, but it's not accurate to say Allen had been struggling before he got to run routes against Fort and Bostic.

The secondary is also horrendous at communicating. Most likely what kept Hayden from following.

On pace for well over a 100 catches, and well over a 1000 yards...TD's are down , But still a very good year...Agree to disagree on this one

I am beyond done with Butler. Tell him to hock his brains, pack his bags and head out. He has been doing this for far too long on far too many occasions.

For that matter, I hope the Steelers do not promote from in house either. Would it be Tom Bradley or Joey Porter (assuming he is kept)?

Regarding the ones outside the organization and the ones who will be likely available in 2019, Todd Bowles is likely gone after this season. It also appears that Kris Richard is going to be a hot candidate as well.

He had nearly 150 of those yards last week. So only 848 going into that game.

His frustration on the season was captured on TV when he kicked a pylon earlier in the year.

Heading into week 14 and he hasn't broken a 1000 yards and he's only that close because of what he did last week. He had almost 1400 yards last season, if he plays the Steelers 3 more times, he'll match that.

The 3 games leading up to last week he had 57, 89, 72 yards. I don't consider that playing well, I say it's playing ok. Steelers made him look like a monster and that is NOT how he was playing for most of the season.

    Juju 83 catches 1104 yds 4 TDs
    AB. 81 catches 1028 yds 12 TDs

Kenan Allen 83 catches 996 yds 5 TDs

Juju and AB have marginal better numbers, you unimpressed with them too?

AB, Yes, I said as much during the season that his numbers are down.

JuJu's numbers are up over last season, it's his second year, he's not trending in the wrong direction.

    Nice try though.
