Yeah JW did but I do you expect a rookie WR to go against his future HOF QB???

As for reading JW mind nope I am guessing, just like everyone else. Sorry man your barking up the wrong tree here........

Washington said he agreed with everything Roethlisberger said. And despite what you seem to think, an NFL quarterback who has played that long with that much success knows a hell of a lot about the best way for a receiver to make a play on the ball.

He could have kept his mouth shut. Washington didn't have to say he agreed to avoid go against Roethlisberger.

kind of a trivial argument NY Steelerfan, I am posting this because it absolutely stole resonance or thunder to my post, back to normal and believing that Washington has been used mostyly thus far as a rookie decoy intentionally because we are blessed that Ben has so . many options

Seriously, watch the play again. He agreed with Roethlisberger because Roethlisberger was right. I'm not sure what is causing your desperate mad-on for Roethlisberger, but it is clearly blinding you on this one.

He began practicing. I believe they have 21 days to decide if they want to activate him.

I saw video of him at practice and he was running full tilt, we could use him if we want to keep w the high flying offenses like Saints, who we play in couple of weeks, I think he should get some reps against the Patriots just to confuse them,

Ben could of kept his shut as well. I agree with the thought he didn't have to dive for the ball and I don't think you need to be a NFL QB or have a Masters in Physics to see that. I for one said it right away he didn't need the dive. Do you expect JW to go against his QB? He could of said nothing but sometimes what you don't say says even more.

From what I've seen and read from Ben's comments he contradicted himself. He said he has earned the right to criticize his teammates. He said he knows there are some guys you have to pull to the side and others who may need to be basically called out and he kinda knows what each guy needs. When some reporter asked him what the players may have thought of his comments and if they agreed with what he did and the way he did it . He said he didn't know and that you have to go and ask them. So is he sure he knows who needs what?

The bottom line is there are a hundred different ways he could of answered the question and the forum in which he made his comments wasn't appropriate. He glossed over his idiotic pick in the end zone by saying that you don't expect a NT to be 5yards deep in the end zone or something along those lines. Totally neglecting the fact that it was a poor decision on 3rd down no less and that if the NT didn't get it the CB certainly would have. I know you are big on people being accurate with the things they post. I don't think Ben is being accurate with the assessment of some of his mistakes. He blamed AB for not running a good route the week before. Hes using his gunslinger mentality as a excuse as well. You can be a gunslinger but it doesn't mean that it's ok for your brain to fire blanks. It's just things that are better being kept in house. Notice how Ben isn't criticizing Conner and he's in his second year and has made some costly mistakes. Maybe it's because he's a hometown kid with great backstory and fan favorite. I wonder how well that would go over?

Call a teammate out for a lack of effort not for a lack of understanding and for struggling with the ability to learn something new to him. From every report I've ever read JW is a humble and hardworking guy that doesn't need a kick in the butt to get motivated. Ben may claim he knows what JW needs but I'm betting he doesn't.....

Dude first off I don't have a "mad-on" for Ben I have said on here many times I think Ben is good as a matter of fact I have stated in the past the only QB I would take above him for this team was Rodgers. With that said I disagree with how Ben handled this when it came to the media. Ben has a habit of running his yapper to the media many a times over his career and I hate when he does it. As for the whole diving thing we will agree to disagree(or not) but here it is Thursday and we are still talking about one play that was by far a top 5 play on why we lost. Time to move on and talk about how much the Chargers are gonna kick out butts this weekend!!!!!!

Washington was a unnecessary draft pick by Colbert IMO, they just drafted JuJu in the second rd last year, there was no need to draft another WR in the second rd this year. If they wanted to find a third WR, they could be found later in the draft. Colbert should've drafted for defense in the second rd . I wasn't a fan of their draft this year at all, 4 of the first 5 picks were on offense .

Ben is the veteran leader of the team. Keeping his mouth shut isn't really much of an option.

Washington could have just stuck with saying that Roethlisberger has the right to say whatever he wants and left it at that.

They do need a third receiver. Washington was somebody they thought could take on a role similar to Martavis Bryant. So far, he isn't getting that done.

Exactly and who's the only other deep threat receiver on the roster?

There isn't one. Fast guys aren't a threat if they can't catch. I just got into this on another thread. Smith-Schuster and Brown are the only viable deep threats on the team.

Heyward-Bey can't catch. He doesn't make contested catches and despite his speed, he really doesn't get much separation on deep balls. He has a proven track record of failure as a wide receiver. He is only on the roster because he helps on special teams. It is foolish to count on him to make plays as a receiver and it is equally foolish to expect defenses to respect him.

I think they were hoping Hunter would also be an option, but he just can't get any separation on deep balls.

When they go with three wide receivers, the third should be Switzer. When they go four, honestly their best option is Rogers. If they aren't going to go that route, it should be Washington over Heyward-Bey. At least there is a chance the light goes on there and he starts producing. There is upside. Washington hasn't proven that he can't do it at the NFL level yet. He has shown that he isn't ready yet.

I don't know where he got this reputation of not being able to catch here. You can go back to page 1 to look at all those catches.

Just like McDonald had the reputation and came here and changed. He's made some big catches and had some drops. Drops happen. DHB is what the offense needs right now. Rogers and Switz are the same player, it's pointless. Unless we are banking on one of them to constantly win their match up.
