I would love to see this guy more involved in the passing game in the slot. He's a grimy, Welker/ Edleman type receiver and we saw that vs Denver. I hate always comparing to New England, but they make a living out of short in and out routes with their small receivers.

He is involved. 6 receptions for 67 yards is pretty good for a 4th slot-type WR.

Completely disagree. He's gutsy back there and almost always gets positive yardage. Can't break much when your blocking breaks down. He's also fooled many punt coverage teams by faking them into thinking he's fair catching and then it goes to the endzone for a touch back although they are starting to catch on to that by now.

    ^^^this^^^

The dropped punt last weekend was unfortunate (among a bushel of unfortunate things!!) but all in all i've been pretty happy with him returning. As I mentioned in another thread (FWIW) I think (after JC's success of course) he's our biggest surprise this year. Some call him our 4th receiver and perhaps he is on the depth chart but he's been WAY more clutch/dependable than Washington has been so far. Way more than Eli was last year (and so I'm totally befuddled by some comments in other threads that we would bother bringing up Rogers)

I think he’s starting to emerge as the 3rd WR since Washington is under performing.

Before Sunday he really hadn't been, what I mean is I would like to see more of it. He should move up to the #3 spot above Washington.

Switzer is doing a nice job for us but he might have the smallest hands in the league. The football looks like a medicine ball in his hands. He has pretty decent hands but his ball security is iffy a lot of the time.

I still want to know how he recovered his own punt fumble - he was nowhere near the bouncing ball but somehow managed to scoot under the pile and snagged it. Good show young man - at least you righted your wrong unlike several other Steelers in that game.

He had been fine this season, but he looked shaky on more than one return against the Broncos. Maybe the entire team was struggling with the altitude because many of them seemed a bit off.

Switzer only has an 8.48 yard average on 23 returns, not exactly a barn burner on kick offs.......

Switzer is a good 4th receiver in the slot but we still need someone to go deep on occasion, which Switzer can't do.

Which puts him 10th in the league. He is 12th in kickoff returns (which are basically meaningless nowadays anyway). Dude has been fine and a clear upgrade over what we had before.

That is where Washington's slow development has been an issue. The Bryant trade certainly made sense, but they still haven't replaced him and I think that is part of the reason Brown's play has declined. Bryant was inconsistent, but he could take over a game and he was a matchup nightmare with his size and speed.
