Of course we can beat NE head to head for 1 but need a lot of help to get a bye after that sloppy BS yesterday. I didn’t think it was all coaching yesterday the players literally fumbled away opportunities like a pee wee team

Texans need to drop both against their division rivals in Tennesse and Indy. New England has to lose to us and lose to Miami.

That should give us all that we need to claim the number two seed.

We don’t know WHAT’S going to happen. The Pats looked like a s*** show on the road against the Lions and Titans as well. Chiefs, Pats, and Texans all still have losing opportunities in front of them.... and some cakewalks to be fair (especially the Pats last two games at home).

But what a great opportunity ahead to have the Chargers and Pats, both opponents we may face beyond week 17, coming to Heinz. If we can’t beat them at Heinz, homefield doesn’t mean a heckuva lot. If we CAN, we may just earn ourselves the right to face them AGAIN at Heinz. Ain’t even thinking about that Saints contest yet. Who knows what both teams will be playing for by then? Take care of the Chargers first, and the opportunities will be there. More so than most years, even a 3 seed v. a 4 could be key in the chance to host the AFCCG if 4/5/6 can rise up against 1....

Technically.... IF the Steelers win out, the Steelers need only 1 loss from the Texans to get the #2 seed. For every loss the Steelers have the rest of the way, they would require additional losses from the Texans and the Pats

I don't give a dam what any other team does, we just need to get our heads out of our ass and play the way they are capable of playing. If the Steelers can't do that they will get beat very early in the playoffs, if they make it that far.

Playoffs are not even a given at this point. Steelers have the hardest remaining schedule of the division leaders and wildcard contenders. Ravens could win the division and Steelers would be sitting at home, because the tie would hurt in earning 6th seed, not help... with a 8-7-1 or 9-6-1 record. Steelers need to go at least 3-2 getting 10 wins. Colts are flying under the radar with a 5 game winning streak and may have the 6th seed (or maybe 5th if Chargers slip) wrapped up if they keep winning. Colts could end up 11-5 if they win out. Even with one loss against the Texans... Colts would end up 10-6.

Steelers pretty much screwed the pooch by losing to Denver. With a win over the Broncos, Steelers could have went 1-2 vs. Chargers, Patriots and Saints... and still be safe from Ravens. Now, not so much.

In brighter news... history has shown, with the exception of '09 and '12 and the Mallet game of '15... Steelers play good football in December.

It was inevitable that the Steelers were going to lose again this season: they just picked a hell of a week to stop winning. Kind of like...... upload_2018-11-27_13-41-37.jpeg

    LOL

Not even worth your time to think of scenarios. This team can't handle business against a 4-6 team. They don't deserve the 1-3 seed. It's the same ole team, nothing has changed and I realized that two weekends ago against the Jags. But everybody was blinded by a fluke win. 1st or 2nd round exit inbound.

i was about to say get your negative butt out of here but then I realized you are right lol. This team is way to sloppy to do some damage in the playoffs.

Constantly starting slow, committing penalties/turnovers lol shocked we are 7-3-1. Really talented team that just can't overcome mental preparation and Ben's bad tendencies.

The Ravens have two tough road games left on their schedule, against KC and LAC. If they win one of those the Steelers may be in trouble, but I'm thinking we eek out the division, 10-5-1 or 9-6-1 for PIT to 9-7 for BAL.

Then we need to pray the seeding works out where someone else plays and beats the Patriots, because until proven otherwise, we are incapable of beating them, especially in the playoffs. (not saying we will sail past KC, LAC or HOU, but we would at least have a fighting chance)
