    Wrong.

Seriously... how many times are we gonna fall for this crap? Until I see the Patriots in a 4-game losing streak, a tailspin... they are a dangerous team. All they have to do is make the playoffs and they are the most dangerous team, minus the Chiefs, in the AFC.

Actually, anyone who paid attention would understand that we were a VERY beat up team (in terms of injuries) heading into the Tebow game, and then lost several key players during that game. We still should have won, but there were many players who were largely responsible for the 12-4 record who either never set foot on the field that day or left the field early.

We beat New England that year and were in the drivers seat for the #1 seed until Ben got hurt. That’s when things fell apart and we ended up not even winning the division.

this is true. why would anyone disagree. 3 out of the past 4 years they have made the SB. Won twice...

bill/brady have been to the sb about 45% of the time in NE. Seriously you can never count them out until they are mathematically out(have never missed the playoffs) or they have been eliminated.

THE PATS WILL ALWAYS BE UP OUR BUTT UNTIL WE CAN TAKE THAT PLUG OUT.

But to be honest i obsess over another team more than the pats, and you already know.

    obviously..

While I agree with you I'm just having a hard time giving up my favorite NFL saying, "defense wins Championships". And what we are seeing in todays NFL is what I'm guessing 90% of fans want to see.

2016 Patriots - 3rd in the league for points, 4th in yards
lowest score that year with Brady - 16 (Siemian was the better QB that day, but the Broncos only scored 3)

    2017 Patriots - 2nd points, 1st yards
lowest score that year - 19

    2018 Patriots - currently 7th points, 10th yards
lowest scores this year - 10, twice, in losses to the 4-6 Lions and the 5-5 Titans

The Pats will make the playoffs (AFC East), and may get the second seed (again, AFC East soft schedule). They are dangerous. But they aren't playing like the "elite" team of the past 2 years.

I said the same thing about the Eagles but it has all calmed down now. So many banners got removed after that drubbing they took in N.O.

All that game told me last night is that neither of those teams will win the SB this year. Not even the appearance of defense being played. PM got picked not because they were good, but because he got overconfident and sloppy.

As ugly as our win was, it proved to me that this team is a legit contender.

    I like our chances.

In fact, this is our year barring catastrophic injury.

Watch the ref wink at Goff, I guess we know who he wanted to win.

The Saints' defense is actually pretty good and they are among the best in the league against the run. They are second in rushing yards allowed per game and fifth in yards per carry allowed.

The continual improvement of Terrell Edmunds will also be critical down the stretch as well.

Butler did begin rolling out those three safety looks again in Jacksonville after keeping it under wraps after the first two weeks of the season.

If you watched the game you'd understand that it was sloppy offense that led to the turnovers, not great defensive play. No game that scores over 100+ points and has over 1,000 yards could ever be considered a defensive.
    Trash game all in all.

I don't understand all the love for Mahomes, if Ben could play in this league when he was young he'd too put up ridiculous numbers. Mahomes and the Chiefs will be one and done in the playoffs, guaranteed.

Ok, take away the defensive scores and it’s a 44-40 “pitchers’ duel.”

Look no further then fantasy football. More exposure equals more profits. Excitement, thrills keeping the right now masses hyped up. I to am old school. I do feel this will eventually slap the NFL where it hurts most, in the pocket. The right now crowd will get bored and move on to something else.

TV Ratings. The networks control the league because they pay the bills.

    Saints have beaten rams
    Rams have beaten chiefs
    Chiefs have beaten Steelers

We need to prove we are among the elites by winning these games such as Denver, then knocking a juggernaut in the teeth like brees

Of course they’re a threat. They’re just not elite anymore.

To your point, Chargers and Steelers are also very dangerous
