Let me be clear here: AB has been wildly efficient this year, especially in the clutch, as he's sitting tied for the top spot in touchdowns for receivers. Still, it's been a sort of a slow season for Brown in terms of yardage; so, when do you think he breaks out with a vintage AB dominant performance? Something along the lines of 150+ and two touchdowns.

I'm going to go with the Raiders game. I think he go off for 9 catches, 171 yards and two touchdowns.

    Thoughts? Predictions?

This is strictly fun, so please don't troll :)

I honestly don’t care if he has a huge game this year. His presence on the field helps us.

Having 2 number 1 receivers with juju he doesn't need to have a vintage ab game. I hope he does tho because I have him in fantasy

This is the exact reason why I believe he hasn't had a monster game. It's tough when you have receiver 1a and 1b... and both are utilized almost equally.

My mind is fuzzy, but I recall a Week 17 when we could’ve gotten the #1 seed by winning in CLE coupled with a Cheats loss. We sat Ben, AB and Cam. We won anyway, but so did NE. It’s like we didn’t even try.

EDIT: it was just last year!

Tomlin knew better lol but that crazy amount of rest does not work for Ben. Ben needs the reps. I'll take battered and bruised with reps vs clean and rusty.

Yeah I'm perplexed why AB hasn't started torching teams. He was UNSTOPPABLE last year.

I got to wonder if he is hurt and dealing with something slightly nagging that might require surgery after the off season?

I'm not sure what it is. I think Juju being a more than reliable target has made Ben goes the other way more often. Speaking of Ben, he flat-out missed Brown on several plays he likely should have had strong yardage on against the Jags. Brown probably should have had 150-180 yards with two touchdowns last game, tbh.

Part of it is the emergence of Smith-Schuster. It's also possible that Brown has slowed down just a little or the little bumps, bruises and strains that come with playing the game have started to affect him more. He is 30 years old. That doesn't mean he is even close to done, but perhaps he's going to have to adjust his game.

AB is on pace to have over 1200 yards and 17 touchdowns. The fact that this is an off year for him speaks to just how good he really is. I think his reception numbers are down due to the fact that the ball is being spread around more this season. Vance Macdonald has been amazing. JuJu has become a legitimate threat as a starting receiver in his own right. A lot of the quick underneath stuff that Brown used to get is now going to Switzer. We still have Jesse James and James Conner getting a fair amount of looks. We do not have to force the ball to AB anymore. I think the Steelers are a better offense because of this.

I think Ben being hurt has a lot to do with AB's performance. He won't have the kind of numbers that he put up game after game last season due to that. Even though Ben is having a career year up to the Jags game he is still quite a bit off on a bunch of throws. For 3 qtrs last week he looked downright terrible. AB whining about not getting the ball is hurting the team more when Ben starts forcing it to him. Both of them need to understand that there are a ton of weapons on offense and winning needs to be the ultimate goal instead of personal stats.

With JuJu being a more reliable #2 WR than Bryant, the Steelers don't need AB to have a monster game. Most of Ben's ints come from him trying to force the ball to AB, in double and triple coverage . AB had a solid game against the Jags, he caught a long bomb for a TD and a 25 yd reception at the end.

Probably wont- although he did score multiple touchdowns a few games ago, was it the panthers? I forget. Again probably wont and not because he cant but the team doesn't need him to. We have so many targets why should we not use em all?
We all have seen what can happen when Ben focuses on AB too much, yeah lets not.
