You can make a case for the texans over the chargers and ne.

Our defense is solid, it's up to the offense to take us home. Some of you expect lights out 70's stifling defense, jesus lol.

No the defense **** the bed. They on that last drive threw to one guy and scored with their eyes closed. That was a horrible execution by the players and the coaching staff. I still say if you swap coaching staffs we blow out NE. No way in hell bill om the most important drive of the game would have let SEAN DAVIS single cover GRONK.

not arguing that one, but we had just lost shazier and he made up for a lot.

Our offense still needed to carry us and it didn't.

I like Chicago's defense but I dont see trubisky outgunning brees or Goff in a road playoff game. Dallas I give a very good shot because they have the best defense and best runner in the nfl(Gurley is the best overall back).

Last year has no bearing on this year. The defense fell apart after Shazier got hurt. We have 3 new starters all playing better than the guys they replaced. Watt is a year better. Dupree is playing better than last year. Communication has improved. I am not going to compare this defense to last year because there are too many variables to make it a fair comparison. Like I said, as of right now, our defense has been significantly better than that of the teams perceived to be ahead of us.

FWIW, in 6 Chiefs games this year, the margin of victory has been a converted TD or less.
    Same for the Rams.

That's a margin for error which suggests the play-offs aren't done and dusted just yet.

The Saints have only been in 4 close games (3 were the first of the season), but ironically all against teams who probably won't make the play-offs.

I like Trubisky. He's been the surprise of the (non-Steelers) season for me so far. I think he either takes off in the play offs and the Bears pull off some surprises, or falls apart. The Bears are pretty entertaining to watch right now.

Defense was definitely not getting better. I had this debate last year on your side. I was clearly wrong. Dig into the season and you will see that they were not getting better. They started out strong and continually got worse.

I wasn't surprised by Mahomes. I knew he was going to be good. That dude is a legit superstar.

I think the extent of Mahomes' success has been a surprise, but he always had the promise, and we also knew what Tyreek Hill et al were going to offer a QB.

In contrast, I didn't have any faith Trubisky was going to play the way he is now.

So not saying Mahomes wasn't a surprise, but the Bears are a bigger one for me. Getting Khalil Mack was an absolute killer move by them as well.

If they play good against ne, la, and saints I'll change my tune. Until then we've played one elite offense and they torched us at home. It's still way too much football.

No. I said before the year we'd make the playoffs and win this division just on the fact we have big ben. I still dont think this is a sb caliber team though as this is mirroring the last 2 years. I'm not getting my heart broken again like I did the last 2 playoffs.

Ben needs to be practicing every Wednesday the rest of the season, unless his elbow doesn't allow it, because the offense does not have the consistency of execution as the Rams, Chiefs, and Saints. The offensive talent is as good as any of the other offenses. I would love to have had a Randle El type player for the Steelers offense as a 3rd WR right about now. If McDonald could transform into a Kelce or Gronk, that consistent greatness, he would be a huge piece for the Steelers offense.

I got a bad feeling like those two and the Saints are in a league of their own right now. I feel like this could be the year we beat the Pats twice and it turns out meaningless as far as winning another S.B. because of who we have to get by after that.

If we have to face Chiefs in playoffs how do we stop them?

I would have thought by now D Coordinators would have figured Mahomes out and slowed him down, but hasn't happened yet?

Only saving grace is when we played them Morgan Burnette was hurt and our defense wan't on the same page yet...

Two elite offenses and both defenses put up scores or put the offenses in great positions to score. The defense that had more turnovers ... won!

I may be looking at this with black and gold shades on, but it just feels different this year. Last years team loses that game against Jax IMHO.

SB always relies on Ben. in 2005 he had elite ben in the playoffs, then he returned to poopy ben in the SB but our team had his back.

Problem is consistency + certain teams we just can't beat. Jags/Pats= stay away from them in the playoffs.

so lot's of variables to win the sb this year. Here is how we do it.

Brady falls down stairs and is out for the year.

Brees slips and dislocates his throwing shoulder

Mahomes gets heartbroken that Andy Reid didnt leave his wife for him so he quits.

Goff goes temporarily blind in a freak accident.

Watson rides a jetski with bell and comes back with a passion for rapping. he still plays but everyone just watches in disgust.

    Dak continues to be Dak.

Philip Rivers decides this is the year. After 14 years it's time he does something. jk, dead.

so there you have it, we got this.
