It’s the new place kicker Colbert signed last night. He’s from some tiny country and needs an interpreter, but he can kick like a mofo.

I don't see us beating no in new Orleans. I'd give us a chance if we were at home but in the Superdome no. It could get ugly very fast.

I do and dont. I see mahomes is prone to some idiotic mistakes but that was on the road against a very good team. I think the chiefs win that game at home. Just like I think the saints lose to the rams if that game was in LA

I said they may lose one more game and it was that one. Their schedule is pretty much a breeze the rest of the way.

I was trying to come up with something for this game.
There was a lot of exciting good and some real bad.

I mean 8 turnovers by the QBs!?
3 or 4 were direct points for the Defense.

It is time to start giving the Steelers defense the credit they deserve. The Steelers defense is BETTER than all 4 of the teams you just mentioned.

Say what you want, we took a step backwards against the Jags. KC and others would have been putting up TDs, not FG's which would be a 21 spot in the 1st quarter. Sound familiar? Hard to feel confident with nearly losing to a bad team on a 6 game losing streak. My confidence only allows me to focus on Denver at this point. This is another sub 500 team we should win and history says we don't for a lot of them. Playoffs? Playoffs?? Lets get things fixed and get #8 with Tuitt and Gilbert back.

I know these two teams are really good, but the defenses are so embarrassing. Like, it makes ours look elite. I just don't trust that in the playoffs.

For those who are saying that was one of the best games ever...they should really go check out the Canadian football and the arena league. Thinking that might be more your cup of tea.

I my self actually prefer old school football... you know when they didn't move games because the grass wasn't nice enough, they had this thing called "defense" and it was legal, it wasn't illegal to touch a player's helmet or knees, they could tackle a player (any player actually as long as they had the ball - or recently had the ball) and do it HARD, holding defenders was just as illegal as holding WR's now days, WR's could be hit going over the middle - whether they caught the ball or not, the QB could be hit hard with or with out the ball (as long as you didn't take more than a step before the ball was released) special teams was when a team would try to run back kick offs and punts,....and occasionally they scored TD's doing it!

it's official, I'm just like my grandfather.

I honestly don't understand why the NFL has decided it has to be safe and it has to score like the NBA. (I hate the NBA) . No one cares if auto racing is safe. Boxing, MMA, down hill skying, etc... they can all play their sport and they know the risks. No one is suing the downhill ski folks for making their hills too steep or not cutting down all the trees. How many people die skiing? If you didn't get a concussion in boxing or UFC then that just means you won your match easily. There should be no reason they can't bring back the old rules in the NFL. Be honest with the players about the risks and if they want to participate they can... oh and btw you'll make a lot of $ doing it. If the union wants, give up some salary or strike for better long term disability and health insurance.

ok that's my rant for today. I feel much better.

Defense wins Championships was my favorite saying for years but this new NFL loves and favors the offense. While I agree for the average fan it is exciting I am old school and miss those tough defensive struggles.

But in our favor this is something I dont like. You learn from your mistakes and it's only week 11.. mahomes will more than likely learn from what happened last night and at home in the playoffs know what to do.

But gotta realize both are missing key all pro players in their secondary that once they come back will change the whole dynamic of their defense.

    That's easy.

    League defensive rankings:

Total yards allowed / Rushing yards allowed / Passing yards allowed / Sacks

    Pitt 6 9 7 1
    NO 16 2 27 21
    LAR 29 27 26 8
    KC 32 26 32 2
    NE 23 16 24 30

The Chiefs still have two vs the Raiders. I expect the Chiefs to lose one of those games. They always play each other tough, much like the Bengals/Ravens/Steelers do with each other.

Can you pull up our rankings from last yr before we Played New England? I don't have them off the top of my head but I know we were number 1 in sacks and top 5 in points allowed.

Difference being last season they were getting worse as the season went on and not better and the effects of losing Shazier was too much to overcome.

This defense is clearly playing much better. It's imperative that Haden and Burnett stay healthy though. Same can be said for Cam and Tuitt up front.

We were getting better as the season went on the last 2 seasons. We were going into the playoffs both years. We were hot going into ne. We ended the season leading the nfl in sacks last yr. I'm not tooting the horn unless we end up in Atl in February. Other than that it just been a repeat of the last 3 years. Maybe I'm just to scared to get my heartbroken like I did after Jacksonville last yr because I thought NE was for the taking last yr. If we beat ne and no then I may change my mind. But as of now the best offense we have played this far torched us at our house.

I compiled a list of all the teams that have allowed 30 or more. The bold are the top 5 teams imo.

    0 games = DAL (best D imo)
    1 game = PIT, HOU,TEN, PHI
2 games = BAL, JAX, LAC, DEN, WAS, CHI, MIN, SEA, ARI
3 games = KC, DET, NO, CAR, ATL, 49ERS
4 games = NE, MIA, BUF, NYJ, CLE, IND, OAK, NYG, GB
    5 games = CIN, LAR
    6 games = 0
    7 games = TB lol

we held NE to 16 points for 3 quarters, our offense sh*t the bed again vs them, we were at home so no excuse not to score.
