Tomlin just said they didn’t make any adjustments. They just started playing better.

 

Winners: the refs, came through with some clutch calls for us.

On the local post game, Bob Pompeani and Chris Hoke got into a heated disagreement on whether or not the roughing the passer call early in the game was a bad call. I agree with Hoke; Pomp maintained it was the right call because it followed the rule, which he admitted is terrible. It was big because it negated a pick. On the next series, they let basically the same play go. At the risk of being called a homer, I thought the refs called a fair game. In fact, I think they let the Jagoffs get away with holding on both sides of the ball. The face mask penalty on Jax against Switzer was the right call; Hoke thought Switz took a dive and shouldn't have won the game because the refs shouldn't have made the call because of the situation, which is bull****. Pomp maintains the call was the right call. You can't have it both ways, saying that you need to consistently call penalties other than when the order of magnitude dictates that the refs keep the flag tucked away.

 

I thought the first roughing the passer was iffy but the one they didn’t call on Ngakoue should have been. It wasn’t a Facemask on Switzer but it absolutely was a hold. Same thing on the next play. I don’t think the late hit fouls and that one face mask really didn’t change the game. Ben threw a pick in the end zone anyways

 

Kinda hard to talk when your 3-7 and Blake bortles is your qb

They missed a **** load early in the game though.

A poor show all round by the refs. They weren’t calling consistently at all. Both teams should be pissed at them.

 

No losers.


99 out of 100 times we lose this type game being down 16-0 with how Ben was playing.


Call it skill, payback, luck or their ineptitude we found a way to win.

I DVR'ed this game, but I'm not going to watch it again. Terrible game until the last 2 minutes.

 

You’re right about Hargrave. He had a monster game and I forgot him on my list.

 

It was good to see Hargrave step up with Tuitt out.

 

Dline did a good job considering Tuitt was out. It was the LBs and DBs missing tackles on Fournette. Agree with those who say Hargrave should be on the field more. He is not a weak link.

 

Wasn't on during the game, do I need to go though the game day thread to see who thought it was over by the half?

 

Guys trying to arm tackle Fournette was just painful to watch although a few times he should have been bottled up but some noncalls on holding gave him life. That first half they just went big and gobbled guys up. They tightened things up in the second.

 

No need. Let's just say the "Usual Suspects". Do check out Tenacious D's now infamous misguided ego trip thread. That pig pile is almost as enjoyable and rewarding as the game result.
