Last night was the most points scored by us since Heinz field has opened up. I did not realize that.

It was nice to watch a game like a normal human being without holding your breath for the last 3 minutes of the game to go by so we can squeak out a win. I would like to see more of that game plan! Very impressive.

That’s was in 3 quarters too. I’m sure it could been more.

Yeah, that game plan needs to be the new reality. Winning big is awesome but the close games are way more exciting as long as we win. One of the few times in recent years I fell asleep in the 4th quarter.

That was also the most points any team in the NFL has scored in a game this year.

Point wa, because of the short week, the fame plan was limited.

I’m loving the win, but...turn that one-play JuJu score into their more typical 3-and-out, and it completely changes the complexion of the game.

Even if he doesn't get the TD there, that's a long completion. He was open and they had no pressure on Ben. They still probably drive for points there, but it's not a dagger like it was.

Yeah, take away 24 of our points and it would’ve been a one score game!

They have been close before, they scored 51 at Heinz against the Colts.

Not quite.. Certainly is making a difference but don't discount the oline. They are playing better then I have seen them in years. Ben could have a picnic back there.

I don't know. The Steelers seemed to be able to do whatever they wanted last night. Taking a play or two away, and changing the complexion of the game, can be said about any game ever played.

Totally agree with your last sentence. Just saying that the quick score filled us with confidence. A 3-and-out doesn’t, it doesn’t suck the life out of Carolina, and it likely gives them better field position. (Although we’d win anyway!)

I’m not trying to smother this thread in Mustard, either. I live in Charlotte and, while I like the Panthers, I’m still really enjoying the win.

Imagine how different the Chiefs game might have been had we not taken the start of the game off.

Bens doing that thing this year where some plays he drops back, then just stops, stands still, completely relaxed, looks around before throwing.

Not sure if I’m describing it well, but every time it’s just testament to the quality of the o-line.

You explained it quite well. He looks very poised and not running scared. Seems content to sit in pocket and throw strikes.. Really like his level of play.

The Oline is playing lights over the last 4 or 5 games. I really like our second string guys Finney and Fieler have filled in without us missing a beat.

Haven t seen enough of Okafor to have an opinion and I am sure I messed up the spelling of his name .

No confidence to think Berry would have boomed one to pin Carolina deep?

You described it very clearly. The long pass to Brown on the first-half field goal drive was the perfect example.

And if the Steelers come up with a stop on the fourth-and-short on Carolina's first drive, maybe things get ugly for the Panthers even more quickly.

Maybe that was the start of the Steelers figuring out how to get their offense going more quickly. Many of the things they had been struggling with this season went right against the Panthers. Hopefully, that is a sign of improvement. It's not as if there is some good reason the Steelers' offense can't play well from the start of the game.

Deja vu all over again. Pitt playing on the same field today racked up a 50 burger (actually 52 too!) against VaTech with Pitt alum James Conner on the sideline rooting on Pitt's 2 main RBs who racked up nearly 400 yds between them and close to 500 for the team. Great couple of days in the history of Heinz Field (named after Heinz Ward of course. ;)). Can't remember a Pgh football weekend like this. :yeehaw:
