Go figure

In August a group of us (not board members) were sitting around bitching and moaning convinced the Steelers were done because of Bell not playing. Ben would have no RB, they could focus on AB, etc. etc.

Now I see James Connor has won AFC offensive player of the month!!!!!! Just never know, thankfully!

I wish I knew some KC fans. Love to know what they thought season would be with Mahome under center. The guy came from Texas Tech probably as unheralded as some bum from Miami (OH).

 

I didnt think mahomes would play as well as he has but I saw the potential in kc. They have the best te currently(gronk hasnt been good this yr), the most dangerous guy with the ball in his hands in tyreek hill, a top 5 back in kareem hunt, and sammy Watkins who is a pro bowl caliber receiver. The potential was there and the fact you combine a guy like mahomes who has the strongest arm in the NFL with the fastest guy in the nfl at wr it just opens up several things in the playbook.

 

Andy Reid should get the most credit for what KC is doing this year. He is the best QB guru in the last 20 years imo.

 

I said from the moment he was drafted that mahomes would be the next drew brees

 

I'm not one to get overly excited about someone early in their career. It takes a few seasons before I believe someone is legit. But Pat Mahomes has it all. By the times it's all said and done I believe he has the potential to be one of the best ever. He's that good.

 

Well if kc is the next dynasty it’s better than patriots

Chief fans wanted Mahomes from the start. Alex Smith was statistically best in NFL and they didn't care. I really like Andy Reid. He was a Mizzou assistant for Bob Stull. Great man, but Chief fans were ready to fire Andy before they beat the Steelers at Arrowhead in 2015 with Landry Jones in October, and they went on a big win streak and they loved Andy in December.
IDK why Chief fans think they are experts. Old Mizzou fans are experts as well. LOL

Now Chief fans are great while things are going well. We shall see if this team is like the KC Royals were a couple years ago. This may be like a comet.

I think the Mahomes kids is very good as well with an awesome teacher. Andy is very deserving.
Fortunately, Normally Chief fans don't say much to me. I have the Steelers to thank. I would root for Andy if Steeler get eliminated.

 

Now all KC needs is a defense, because right now they are terrible. If they can improve their defense they will be a legit powerhouse. I have always liked Reid's offensive game planning and creative pass route structure he is one of the better pure offensive minded coaches in the NFL.

If its not us then it is anybody but NE. And KC wouldn't be a bad choice I actually liked them way back in the Lenny Dawson Willie Lanier, Curly Culp, Hank Stram days. For everyone under 58 look those guys up.
