Munch turned down interviews for HC positions last year. Money is obviously not his top motivation.

Would the challenge be attractive to him? Guess we’ll find out.

Munchak didn't even interview with Arizona last season, I don't see him being interested in that dumpster fire the Cleveland Browns.

I would love for the situation to come up where Tomlin was available. You guys seem to hate him so much, but I would love a coach like him for the Browns. Of course, I don't follow the Steelers to know what you guys know about him, but from our situation, he seems like a great coach.

Yes, good points. Money is a great motivator, but I believe Munch has turned down interviews before, so I doubt he would want to take a chance on the Browns job. If he does have interest in being a head coach again, I'm sure other opportunities will present themselves. But what the hell do I know? I just hope he stays.

    But for how long?

The Browns are by far the least stable franchise in the league. The reason obviously is due to the ownership.

Shame on you for not remembering he is from Crafton. It's on the right as you drive to the airport, near Green Tree, Robinson Township, Carnegie, etc.

Oops. He played for the Browns once before? I thought he had some connection to Cleveland unless my mind is going.

Money may not be a major motivator for Munch but I do believe the Steelers gave him a raise around the time of the last HC interviews.

If the team plays well for Williams, I wouldn't be surprised if he keeps the job.

Some coaches aren't meant to be head coaches.

He was also a special teams and a defensive back coach for the Browns.

Also, interestingly, as a Philadelphia Eagles LB, he broke Jeff Fisher's leg on a punt return in 1983. I saw the video on tv. Here's the reference.

I think he played one season with us. special teams coach in the Marty years. The last of the good days. Then was DC. He was great. Went back in the day, and they had a basketball and would play weekly at different local schools, met him at the game, seemed like a good guy. That went shouldn't be there. I just smoked a little and I going back in the day.

I thought he was from Pa.

Hey! You guys have a pretty cool city. Drive through a few times and spent a week there .Drove...too much work to scroll back and correct. Getting out of here I'm rambling.

As much as I hate to say it, I think the Browns are on the verge of turning it all around. They have a very good rookie QB, a young stud of a running back, and a good defense. They need some WR's and they'll be trouble. I'd think a lot of coaches would love to go to Cleveland.

I agree - but at the same time, firing the HC and OC mid season isn’t the way to keep turning it round. The Browns resurgence is all there on paper, but they seem to be trying hard to remain the Browns.

Who knows, maybe Williams does the trick. He’s got the defense playing decently.

When you have watched him as long as some of us have, you would know why.
He inherited a very good team and franchise QB, but still can't figure out how to beat
the Patriots when he has had more talent some years?

That would fit the CLowns perfectly. It would kill two birds with one stone. Maybe DS can chew his way through the interview process and hang his credentials on all his great ST's work..
