I had to join to post this because I did not see any mention on the board. I was browsing the steeler wire and came across an article that said late in the game Sensabaugh hurt his ankle and was replaced by Sutton. Article also went on to say a trade may be in the works because its common when a player is on the block to prevent said player from getting injured. Sorry, Im not sure how to provide a link.

I know what you mean man! Read that same article.

Regarding Burns, I doubt he does get traded. What I do believe though is that Burns needs to regain his confidence. He has all the physical tools you would ever want in a cornerback.

Question now is, will he be able to recover his rookie form? We shall soon see.

Edmunds has had a rough rookie season for certain. He has shown flahses however. The potential is immense as many of us saw in the game against Atlanta. The biggest aspect for him now is to string together consecutive games such as the aforementioned.

In other words? Consistency. Find that and Edmunds will be well on his way.

Interesting thought. Package deal, him and Bell for??? Picks? Player? Both?

    Welcome to the board :drinks:

Assuming it is, at worst, a third round pick or a corner, I would not bite if I am a trading partner. Rather, let me break it down if I was a trading partner:

"Would a change of scenery assit Artie Burns? In addition, would Le'Veon Bell be the same?"

Bell would be the prize of that trade, Burns is like you said. He's got the talent, maybe someone else can harness it.

It's kind of odd that Burns saw zero snaps. Players get benched all the time of course but the timing makes me raise an eyebrow.

Timing of the benching is a bit odd for certain. However, no doubt it had to be done sooner than later. Hopefully he can rebound.

As for Bell, he is the prize but the risk as well. What does he look like for one? Can he get up to speed? Will the team sign him long term after the trade?

I think it would have to be a playoff contender, he'd be up to speed by then. That would be a nice bonus for any team making a SB run. That plus first crack at signing him long term would be enticing to a team I'd think.

I still think Eagles may be the top team to land him if anything transpires at all.

It helps that the Browns really only have one good wide receiver.

Assuming Bell signs of course. Should he before the trade deadline, more than likely someone is going to make a move.

Should see the trade market heat up with only 2 days to go before the deadline. Hopefully the Steelers have something up their sleeve.

Artie Burns was the one responsible for the Browns coming back in week 1. How about using Brian Allen (6'3" who runs a 4.3) to replace him?? Could it get any worse??

They'll throw in the pen tomorrow when he shows up to sign his tender and then report to his new team Wed for his first practice. :thumbs up:

Burns might have some value in a trade if he was benched because he couldn't crack the lineup of one of the best secondary's in the league. We all know that's not the case here.

He is now maybe third string on a maybe middle of the road secondary.

I strongly doubt that any deal involving Bell is going to happen. However, with there being a few corners supposedly available, a trade involving a pick + Burns for another corner may bo possible. Maybe Roby or Conley?

I hope not. We have a string of wins going and Conner is in sync with the OL. We don't need a media circus like before the opener that had the locker room in chaos.

Now that Burnett is back the Steelers can afford to start Cam Sutton at corner over Sensabaugh if they continue not to play Burns. That is a much better option at this point and time.

Agree, Sutton might be better then Sensabaugh long term, but Cody did play tight coverage against the Browns. The one touchdown they did get on him he was all over the receiver. Right now they are both better options than Burns.
