A lengthy ban would've preferred but that's a hefty fee

112k is a large fine. I would rather he been suspended. But at least the fine was large enough to sting a bit.

Should have been suspended. Intent is clearly there. Does he need to maim somebody before taking action.

Hell be back to taking cheap shots on ab and juju the next time they play nothing will change. only way they do some drastic is when it's too late and Burfict either paralyzes or kills someone on the field. Then Goodell will roll out the podium apologizing to the fans and family

It seems that way. Sad but life goes on.

When that happens thougb Blast, you better believe that the NFL WILL have no choice but to pay for their crimes.

    Problem is it's week 17.

So if they're both going into the playoffs, you know he'll target one of them!

When this happens, bid farewell to the NFL within one to two generations.

Have Rodger to thank for that.

It's just amazing to me that they allow a guy on the field who has made it known that he tries to injure players mainly Steelers players. But they have these awful pu**y roughing the passer penalties And bogus personal foul penalties. Just blows my mind

The guy probably takes a shot at someones head on 7 out of 8 tackles a game the only good thing is he has lost a step and misses more often. It would be impossible to see the tape and not see the intent. Some helmet to helmet is bound to happen but a forearm shiver to the side of the head is not an accident.

He will be out of football if not after this then year then next, it is clear he has slowed and is no longer an every snap player.

I have old video's of the 70 Steelers. We would have had to chip in money to pay all the fines Lambert would receive in today's touch football NFL. The Raider and Steeler teams of the 70's could not play football in today's NFL.

Burfict was wrong and deserved that fine but it made me think of the **** they would do to each other back in the day. Just ask Lynn Swann. Raiders use to lay the poor guy out.

Yes. That is exactly what has to happen. The only possible explanation I can think of for letting him get off with a fine this time is that both of his illegal hits were ineffective. I say both because the league is only busting him for the hits on Conner and Brown, though there were others that he led with his head.

The rules are different now. Maybe those guys would have been able to adapt. Maybe not. What we do know is that Burfict has been violating the rules for years. This isn't about the new rules for this season. The hit on Brown would have been illegal before this season. The hit on Conner is the one that is probably covered by the targeting rule.

Also, it has never been okay to grab a guy's ankle and twist after the whistle, something Burfict has been caught doing multiple times.

Justice? Burfict makes 11 mil a year. He was fined nothing and received 0 games suspension. This would be like me being fined 10 bucks by my work. Big deal.

Actually, I believe his salary is closer to $8 million this year. In that case, your comparison would be accurate if if you made around $568 per year, but your overall point isn't far off. A fine of $112,000 isn't nothing, even to Burfict, but it's a small enough penalty that it clearly was less than a repeat offender deserves.

Well, at first, there wasn't even a fine. He won't stop... mahomes will be his next victim ... and this will be his final straw.

Justice would be to boot this guy out of the league before he does some serious damage to someone.

that's a great point if he injures one of the up and comers in this league, that may finally break that titanium steel camel's back. Not that
AB et al aren't important but I think the league views it as a tough divisional match up and let's some sheet go thru. I could be wrong and the league is clueless, but a "new Superstar X" being targeted by Burfuct would be a line in the sand I hope

Should have been thrown out for the rest of the season. He won't stop if they don't punish him. This isn't punishment.

These clowns aren't worried about money hell look at Bell he'd rather be stubborn and give up 800K a week. Payroll is out of control, these clowns need to paid a minimum and the rest earned on the field.

Did you see the 2 mental defectives in KC wearing Burfict jerseys? They obviously condone violence, so I say punch them in the face

If he takes out the new Sensation at QB he's done for at least 4 games.

For Burfict, $112k is the equivalent of being suspended for one quarter.
