Surprisingly, we don’t get a lot of cemetery requests here.

Fairly close to the strip district is Allegheny Cemetery. It’s pretty big and pretty old for Pittsburgh. It also has a fancy stone entrance.

Yes you can park down near Station Square for the lower end of the incline. But as far as Station Square goes the last couple times I’ve been there it was unimpressive.

Mineo's Squirrel Hill. Best pizza house in PGH.

Honestly, I wouldn't waste your time with Ward's restaurant. There are soooo many better restaurants in the city and it doesn't really jump out as a great sports restaurant either. I think it's pretty underwhelming. Just my opinion of course. Plus, it's in Cranberry Twp. I live near there and it's full of you typical suburban chair restaurants and big box stores you can find anywhere. You'll find places that are uniquely Pittsburgh closer to the city.

Agree with others. Mt Washington has amazing view. See museums (and Cathedral of Learning) in Oakland. Ear in Lawrenceville where a ton of tech startups are located and the restaurants have followed. Phiipps Conservatory is pretty impressive (it's in Oakland near the museums). Heinz History center (Strip District) has great sports exhibit.

    Ditto Ward’s restaurant.

Phipp’s Conservatory will be be in their holiday display which is very good.

Phipps is good if you're in to botany. I always though the Carnegie museum across the valley from there was a good museum. If you're a baseball fan and nostalgic you can see the old home plate of forbes field close to there too :)

Had a blast in da burgh. A W would've been the icing on the cake for sure but we had a grand time cruising the strip, hitting the inclines, took a river cruise. We just walked and walked everywhere taking it all in hitting dive bars, the cemetery cruising the neighborhoods... Just really felt at home with a lot of kind and cool folks at every pocket of the city and surrounding areas I wound up in.

Lost my voice caught a head cold and gained a cherished memory! We'll be back soon. My damn wife and sister in law are already looking into a house there for our families and future trips... I don't know where they'd get the coin, but it was encouraging that they loved it all just the same.

Sorry I wasn't the rabbits foot needed come game time.
