He’s leading the league in yardage. Can’t use the bell and brown argument anymore. I wonder what the next excuse will be. Conner and juju are now carrying him ? I bet Carr and Kellerman are all kind of salty so far

Who said Ben is not a top 10 player? For that matter, why would anyone state something so blatantly ignorant given his performance this season?

We have a professional sports analyst/5 star recruit who post on here. I'm going to wait to see what he has to say first.

I couldnt agree with the new guy more. It bugs me the different ways people try to discredit Ben. He makes a stupid throw or two every game. But man I am sure glad we have him.

I think Ben IS a top 10 QB, but....
He's 13th in QB rating, 15th in completion %, 13th in yd/attempt, and tied for 8th with 3 other guys in TD passes.

But, but, it's not all just stats, does he win? Does he score pts? Well, 11 NFL teams have a better wining % so far, and the team is just 7th in scoring.

He allegedly has a top OL, AB and Juju have been healthy, Connor has this board ready to ditch Bell, and Vance is the new fav TE. This is supposed to be a top 2-3 offense, right?

On the basis of this year, You can see how someone might argue Ben isnt top 10. I would disagree, but the data is there.

Ben Roethlisberger is the least of our problems. He'll be just fine.

More importantly to me the Steelers offense is 20th in yards per drive and 13th in points per drive. They need to be better moving forward, regardless of Ben's numbers.

I don't think Ben is problem, but he may no longer be the QB that he used to be.

Yep! But if you are a true Steeler fan, you sure were happy when he called that audible and hit AB for the game winning score Sunday. The Steelers have multiple problems they will have to work through this year if they want to compete for a Super Bowl. Ben isnt one of them.

In the offseason David Carr of NFL Network had his brother Derek ranked ahead of Ben,.

David got sacked a LOT. I can’t hold him responsible for having a few dead brain cells.

Whenever David Carr stated that, I could not help but laugh.

However, now that his own brother is having quite some trouble over in Oakland, I wonder if his opinions have changed.

    Sorry I am late ( said 5 others ).

Ben is not a too 10 but a top 20, in totality.

Ben is not a top 3 but a top 5 in qb, there is rotation in the top 5.

I knew that Peyton would handle it. I know Brady/Brees can handle it. I know on a given Sunday that Andy Dalton, let us not forget how he drove for a GW TD, can be top 5.

We all need help and Ben is no different. However, we needq

I argue his inconsistency on the road. Greatness doesn't stop but talent does.
Also, as a former tampon, Gruden will NOT ( mark it ) lead the raiders to anything beyond a 10-5 wildcard birth.

    Parents just don't understand

Ben is underrated. He is one of the great quarterbacks of all time. Many quarterbacks don't receive the accolades that they deserve. It is all a popularity contest. The media loves Tom Brady, because he's a cutesy boy, who dated actresses, and is married to a supermodel. And, they loved Payton Manning, because he was a personality. The same thing with Aaron Rodgers. Ben never got his chance to shine in the media and a lot of it had to do with that rape accusation that was brought against him. That soiled his image. With women purchasing the majority of consumer goods in this country, he will never live it down. It may even hurt his chances of becoming a commentator, after he retires. But, us true football fans know that Ben Roethlisberger is up there with the all-time greats.

To be fair, Ben's boorish behavior early in his career dashed his chances for endorsements and commercial spots. The media covers every player's bad behavior, but some is viewed as worse than others (i.e., sexual assault is lower than a DUI). I don't have to agree with it, but not everyone has to believe in redemption/rehabilitation, either. The fact that his transgressions were sex- and assault-related is what probably struck down his chances to do even male-oriented product endorsements (pickup trucks, tools, ED drugs).

(And I love your avatar! That was an awesome game to watch.)
