Just another in a long line of defensive backs mysteriously always hurt.

What in the hell actually happened? I thought he was supposed to start like two weeks ago. Are they just being extra careful with him?

or Carol Burnett...don't worry though he'll come back when this defense finds its groove, then they'll have to re-adjust to the new face.

"One man's misfortune is another man's oppurtunity."

    - Mike Tomlin

Case in point? While Terrell Edmunds has literally been thrown to the wolves far earlier than even I wanted him to, last Sunday was a good showcasing as to why he was Pittsburgh's 1st pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. The potential is immense. The talent is clearly there too. He is just simply inexperienced as it stands currently.

.... That and the Keith Butler not really accessing more of his latent potential by putting him in places where he can succeed. Rather, putting him in the places the team drafted him for in the first place.

Steelers need Burnett. When he was with the Bears, he covered the TE's, only one TE had a good game against them, the rest he held in check.

Thats an area the Steelers are obviously struggling in.

No offense taken! My first thought was, am I wrong about his covering TE's and then oh duh, he played for GB.

I was never a fan of this signing. I wanted the honey badger.

Edmunds was solid against the Falcons. He made some very good open field tackles. I'm not sure he did anything particularly special. It's not like he's showing great coverage skills as a tight end or making big plays. He was competent.

I wasn’t particularly down on signing Burnett - does what we need on paper - but yes, would have loved to have got the honey badger.

Not sure I would have given him 7m for 1 year like Houston did - especially as the Bell negotiations were still ongoing then. I’m presuming those kind of numbers were why the Steelers didn’t entertain the idea:

This stuff is funny to me and also aggravating at the same time. These guys are athletes playing at the top level of their sport and they get an injury and they’re soft?
People get hurt. Sometimes it takes a while to recover from it.

On the Terrible Podcast they were saying the Steelers would probably wait until after the bye week to bring Burnett back, they will need him for the second half of the season.

Some injuries can be played through, others can’t. A groin injury isn’t a “rub some dirt on it” kind of thing.
