This is why Tomlin tries to be politically correct ...

I found this thig as close as I can find, after he signed his latest 2 year extension good till 2020:

Tomlin will keep his place among the NFL's highest-paid head coaches. The Steelers don't disclose coaching salaries, but Tomlin had been among the league's 10 highest-paid coaches with a salary pegged in the neighborhood of $7 million per season on his old contract.Aug 4, 2017

I'm no longer interested in college football if this merits an ejection.

There was a 4th quarter 'targeting' ejection that was even more egregious.

    Meh...

Was there forcible contact to the head? Absolutely!

I don't care as much, because they carry so many guys on game day that they could field 2 full teams with subs. So College can afford to really draw back on head hits.

Plus these most of these kids aren't going on to even Veteran minimum in the NFL and whatever crap retired health policy they give out if you make it that far.

They review every one of those calls as well and it doesn't really slow the game as much as NFL reviews do.

Just because he was right about the penalties doesn't mean he shouldn't be gone. His squad is the most penalized in the league because they are undisciplined, which is a direct reflection on him and his staff not holding players accountable and fostering this environment where the players can do whatever the hell they want. All the Tomlin sympathizers are too predictable.

They review every single targeting call on the field in college. They can even call it while reviewing a play for other reasons. Saw several yesterday that were legit including 2 in the TN/Auburn game and the one from Florida/Vandy that was particularly bad. I think it's a good rule in college.

I don't get why the number of subs available has anything to do with it. They're not ejecting them at a rate where teams would have to play man down (yet).
