hoping for a big game from our TE's in this one. we have 3 good threats and i hope ben starts to use this talent to his advantage. they are there for the taking. these guys could become such an asset to screw up a defensive game plan with.

When Vance is on, he's one of the best tight ends in the game. The issue is that he's injured or inconsistent af. Hopefully, today is a big game!

I believe he’s been pretty healthy since he came back earlier this season. Didn’t seem like they targeted him much in the last game.

Which is odd since he was was solid in the first half and made several big plays.

From what I saw, #89 was busy all day parting the Red Sea for Conner's runs and screen passes. He's being used effectively regardless of whether he's catching passes, but why not include him in the fun. :thumbs up:

Agree, think his good to great blocking is overshadowed by his big plays in the passing game and injuries.

The Steelers have the best trio of Tight Ends in the league IMO. When Vance is healthy hes one of the best in the league. JJ looks even better than last year. And I have always been high on Xavier Grimble. Large man with soft hands, and Ben seems to have confidence in him. I think as the season goes on Fichtner will find continue to exploit defenses when we are in 2 tight end sets. Evey James has shown the ability to go deep this year. Reminds me a little of when the Patriots had Gronk and Hernendez. you know, except minus the murder. LOL

He's not a TE you're going to send down the seam, so speed doesn't need to be part of his game. JJ gets open by finding the soft spots in zone defenses.

    He's highly underrated around here.

Think a lot of that has to do with not surviving the ground which is a stupid ass rule if you ask me. Glad they fixed it.

I may cut up on him about his YAC from time to time, but I've never had a problem with James. Dude is only 24 in his 4th year!!! That's insane, he just needed some time to develop. Pretty reliable as a pass catcher imo

Love to see Grimble get more opportunities he's built like a WR almost and has some speed. Some of the plays designed for JJ could have monster results with Grimble

all 3 are an asset if they use them heavily. this makes us so much harder to defend. it's there for the taking. i hope ben and AB realize what we have as weapons and continues to spread the ball around.
