I am surprised to see so much enthusiasm For Earl Thomas. I know he's good, but he just flipped off his whole team after getting hurt. Why on Earth would we trade on salary obsessed cancer for another? I am no fan of Bell, but he at least isn't flipping off his own bench on national TV. Granted Thomas did come back and play this year when Bell didn't. I just don't want a guy who just threw a child-like tantrum on the field coming here.

I just heard eagles reiterated they are not inquiring about bell but have inquired about shady McCoy with the bills

Idk either but that's what is being reported. I imagine he's cheaper and might want to go home. Who knows

I disagree with him doing that but I know why he felt that way. He wasn't flipping off his teammates, he was flipping off Carol or maybe the GM was on the sideline, I don't know but the reason was because he didn't want to be playing on his current contract for fear of injury but he played anyway and ended up getting hurt. So he was like, see, f-u I got hurt.

Anyway, to answer your question, you hope that a change of scenery will help a player leave that negative stuff behind. The idea being you get a happy player for a couple seasons maybe 3 and then if he sours you've gotten what you wanted out of him and cut him loose. His next contract is probably his last. He's 30.

McCoy is a cheaper option. His contract this year is $6,075,000 (dead cap, $8,950,000). Average is $8 million, and he is signed through 2020, when he'll be 32 at season's end. He comes with less of a pedigree and an injury history, but for less money and less baggage, and probably less going the other way.

McCoy is playing and playing hard. Bell isn't playing and has made it clear he's more concerned about getting to end season without injury or mileage and costs twice as much.

You get to rent one player for a repeat title run, which one do you pick?

Also get a player that is light years better than the other.

McCoy is not and never was in the same category of player Bell is at this stage of his career.

McCoy is 30 years old and the past couple years has shown that.

Here is one name that many here would like as they were very high on him coming out of college. I am sure it won't happen but I know the Raiders had/have interest in Bell.....

    Oakland Raiders
    Player: S Karl Joseph

Reason: Coach Jon Gruden doesn't seem to be the biggest fan of Joseph, a former first-round pick, and there are plenty of teams (including the Eagles) in need of talent at safety.

McCoy may not be on Bell's level now, but to say he was never that good shows you really don't know much about McCoy.

Bell.. he would elevate their offense to another level especially with the playcalling of peterson. I tbh think hed look better there did he did here.

I agree he will to. They have a gm who likes to plunge and make splashes. Our fans have to start thinking outside the box. Every organization and team isnt run like ours.

I heard they are actually keeping both in mind. I'm sure Bell's price tag has them taking a serious look at Shady.

Nor should they be. Who else do they even have on offense? :lolol:

Seriously, I took a brief look and 4 of the top rated players are on defense. Shady was the only NFL top 100 player on their offense. If that's true, then I wouldn't be interested in trading McCoy, either.

My friend, what league have you been watching?Shady is most definitely in the same league as Bell. He has played with probably

the worst NFL team in the league for three years now. If it wasn't for Shady Buffalo wouldn't have anything.

Hunt is good but I wouldnt put them in the class with those. He's a notch below but he is a beast but those guys are on another level.
