*Some of the talent is there.
Coaching has nothing to do with the way Burns gets smoked a lot of the times, or 2 different Ravens dragging half a dozen Steelers down the field on 2 separate occasions last night. A couple months ago it was 'not to worry, tackle teaching Guru Bradley is here to solve this problem'. I see no difference in the tackling, except it may have gotten worse.
It's bad all over and will remain so until there is a change and Butler is a nice start but not the answer to everything IMO.

Edit: That being said, I look forward to you write up.

Agreed. Still having communication issues, still blowing assignments, totally unexceptable at this point. He has to go.

Fichtner I'm willing to give more time too. We have no idea how much they have altered the offense, those things will take more than 4 games if significant changes were made. However, definitely not impressed with him as of yet.

That was one throw. There was plenty wrong with the offense last night that had nothing to do with forcing throws to Brown. He was open twice on third downs, for example, only to have Roethlisberger miss badly on the throw.

That Butler is abysmal and his scheme or lack there of is making this D look way worse than it should be. Question is...where is our former DC/DB and now HC while this is going on? It's looking more and more "obvious " that he is oblivious....

Ben just did not like Haley because Haley would not put up with Ben's BS like Tomlin.

Haley doesn't gaf. I like that about him.

I'm not sure Tomlin puts up with it. I think Tomlin is aware that he can delegate the "not putting up with" to someone else. It's the benefit of being the head coach.

Now Haley's gone, but the play calling has basically stayed the same. Might as well have kept him.

It's not like they have anyone on staff to replace either coordinator.

We don't know where the one he lost control of was going, so your argument fails there.

    I already acknowledged the interception.

At least two of those third-down passes to Brown, he was open and Roethlisberger just misfired. One was a potential big gain with Brown running alone at midfield. He's going to throw a lot of passes Brown's way. That's what you do with the best player in the game. Aside from the interception, the issue wasn't trying to get the ball to Brown. It was missing him when he was open.

I’m watching MNF and I’m so p!ssed to see a real defense exposing Mahomes and the Chiefs. P!ssed to see a defense where every player knows his assignment prior to the snap. P!ssed at the shell that our “defense” has become

The defense is a hot steamy mess of confusion, poor tackling and sadly a lack of effort. Last night the defense looked like it was day two of training camp.
If I was coaching against these guys I d start 5 TE's because they can t cover any of them.

The offense wasn't much better in the second half, was it just me or did anyone else notice on every pass that was broken up or almost picked there was always two or three Steelers in the picture.

Our route tree is terribly simple , no imagination and and no depth.

Both co-ordinators seem to be in way over their head.

I wouldn’t go that far. I’ll look at the All-22 and revert back.
Perhaps I was inarticulate; I was trying to make a point aligned with yours. I think Ben’s “mental vision” narrows when he feels he needs to produce, with AB dominating it. With AB usually being covered, that puts pressure on Ben to throw in sometimes very tight windows. Which, I think, affects his accuracy. Like pitcher trying hard to hit a spot instead of just freely throwing at it.

If Ben’s default was to take what’s available, maybe he’d be looser and throw better.
