I read a quote from him saying he's in great shape and could play tomrw if he wanted.. Those jet ski selfies say otherwise

In Leveons defense though, Week 7, the ocean waters are a bit cold and strippers start feeling a bit guilty heading towards Christmas.

damn the haters, I'm F$%^*$ jacked, offense is neutered without Bell, he made his point, I think we give him more gaurenteed money for long term deal and w Bell we will win AT LEAST one more super bowl. get him back out there, and we can spell him w Conner, and devote next few years to shoring up defense, thats my 2 cents, out

It's bulls$!# posturing. He is playing a PR game at the moment because despite the loss last night teams are looking at him as well and thinking will he quit on us if he feels after a year that he deserves more money than Fornette and Elliot? His "business" decision has also made him very hard to trust since he has tied money to personal value. So what makes him feel valued in year one might not be good enough for year 2 and then they have a problem.

While I don't want them to give in to his demands, I'll just say the Steelers are cheap compared to other teams when it comes to guaranteed money. Not necessarily saying they're wrong though.

I'd say they are more careful. Bell proved himself to be unreliable at times and they are very aware of his consequences.

Yeah definitely although Ben I don't think got a lot guaranteed either in comparison to say David Carr who sucks.

I pointed this out weeks ago that the Rooney's are in the Football business and they aren't rich. They don't have other interests that generate personal income like other owners do like Wilf, Kahn, the guy who just bought the Panthers, Jerry Jones. So they are very careful with their money. They invest in some players but never to the point of risking the business.

The Ravens have quality linebackers and a stout defensive line. They did just what they always do they flood the area with everybody daring you to run or pass. Instead of using the tried and true methods that have beat them time and time again, they tried the new pattern Ben is in love with 3 WR's 1Te, and single back to maximize the no huddle except they never used it and with the Ravens over powering the 5 man OL no way was even Bell going to get through that. If they had loaded up and pulled DD or Foster with Mac coming right behind and Nix to clean out the last man you would have seen more ground and pound. Suggs and Mosely are too smart to let the OLine get their hands on them and just went for the ballcarrier.

Why is Le'von coming back? I suspect he's out of money. His hoarded nest egg didn't last as long as planned, he can get $8-9 mil on the tag this yr, to tide him over until the expected big deal comes. And probably he came to realize the 'big deal' won't be so big if he skips a full year.

So, your move Mr Rooney, whatcha gonna do?

If you all would look past your personal feelings . You all would clearly see that Ben really need Bell back. The offense is offensive without him. It would be an instant upgrade upon his return.
If you truly want to have a chance to win games then embrace him back when he return. Like it or not, this team has to deal with him come week 7. Can't be any worse at this point. This situation, remind me of when emmitt held out with the cowboys. We have to come to our senses sooner rather then later

Not the way people think when you think rich. I don't think the Rooney's, Mara's and Hunt's even crack the top 15. Heck reading one article Paul Allen is the Bell of owners coming in at 20.9 Billion

Not as rich as you might think. Probably at the lower end of the wealth spectrum of owners.

Bell has lost credibility. This 'word' means nothing. As Tomlin would say, "We will deal with the players who are here" (they just need to.... deal with them better or something). The notion that he will play and give his all if and when he shows up is naïve. Especially after Earl Thomas went down, I can imagine he might want to find a way to maximize his dollars this year while still minimizing the risk to himself. Now, how can he do that???? Let's ask James Harrison....

There's a salary cap in place, so whether they invest in the right players or the wrong players, they are not risking the business. They have plenty of money and there's no shortage of die hard Steelers fans that will support the team win or lose.

    Correlation doesn't equal causation.
I saw something posted last week which indicated the Jaguars put up better numbers without Fournette and had a higher winning percentage. But then if you looked deeper into it, you saw that when Fournette was out, they were playing dog **** competition. I couldn't be bothered to look into why those stats are the way they are (and sometimes things can't be explained anyway, hence the term anomaly), but I think we would all agree that when you have a guy like Bell who is just as good at receiving as he is at rushing, that it gives us an advantage over a running back who isn't nearly as skilled in either category.

Not to mention this team, and Ben, is so inconsistent that perhaps Ben had most of his clunkers with Bell in the lineup and just happened to play lights out with Bell out of the lineup.

An I the only one that hopes he comes back ? I was annoyed with him but I think he can give the offense a boost and open it up, the offense is struggling as well not just the defense.
