As much as I would elect to agree with Joe Haden, the fact of the matter is that most cornerbacks are not the same when they hit 30; for Joe next season. Add up his injury history and it is likely that Haden will be more vulnerable next season.

Within that same vein though, given the fact at how much Artie has regressed, should said trend continue, Haden will be needed to groom whomever the next Steelers cornerback is.

Given the circumstances, Haden is likely to be kept anyways; his contiuity and performance being among the bigger reasons.

His biggest reason? Indirectly tutoring whomever Pittsburgh cornerback wise in 2019.

Earl Thomas is a safety. Do we need another safety at the price he want??

Earl Thomas is a head case just like Bell, he skips practice because he isn't happy with his contract.

Does anyone really think we are going to win the SB with this defense? I'm sure Thomas is tough to deal with financially but if it means a SB victory before Ben leaves....I'm leaning towards signing him with a trade if they could take Bell. At the very least its worth a phone call. Its been reported the two teams have not talked. Who knows for sure who has discussed what though.

He may be skipping practice but at least he's there unlike you know who. Plus he had two picks the last game vs Dallas and is the highest rated safety right now.

Bell would be stupid to agree to play for another team this season.

He might feel he has to post some stats and put in some games, for appearance and to quell concerns about his drive. If so, it’s benefit him to play for a team that’ll lean on him, rather than one with a distributed offense.

Does the upside of that outweigh his 'workload concern' (as alluded to by his agent after week 1), or the possibility of him getting hurt? It would fly in the face of his reasoning for sitting out so far this season.

Eagles don’t need Bell and his price tag.
    They have a few backs.

Ajayi is good but not great. Bell would be a huge upgrade. Smallwood is a pass catching back and that's about it.

He’ll already have avoided over half a season’s worth of touches and tackles. Another crazy 400-touch season was the worry, and it’s been averted.

It could backfire if he isn't productive and looks slow and ineffective, or gets injured.

A 1 legged Thomas is still better than Burns, Sutton and Suckabutt combined.
