Steelers listening on trade options for Bell

The thought would be, as a one dimensional contender like GB, they feel they just need one more piece to make the push.

Problem is.... Bell was with a perennial contender..... and proceeds to act this way. He won't agree to be traded no matter who the potential trade is with. He's all about preservation and next years perceived money..... which is probably dwindling quickly.

 

Never said he was, but you get a chance to get a player of his calibur for a Super Bowl run you try to make it happen. There is a reason we have held on to him for this long. When the chips are down would you rather do battle with Bell or Conner? There is a reason we are in the bottom 10 for rushing stats.

 

I just don't see Bell being the ticket to a super bowl W for any team, including the Steelers. If this was still preseason and there was video of him working out (like last year) and he looked fit and trim and ready to go, maybe some team would gamble on him. The only videos I've seen of him this year have been nothing but monkey business.

 

Okay, I misunderstood the super bowl part.
I wanted Bell gone after the second drug suspension, so I'll take Conner.

 

Agreed. The second suspension had me thinking this dude is selfish.

He didnt get caught but he was suspended for problems on the field which is worse than getting suspended for drugs. If that was worse in the eyes of nfl people t.o who was clean as a whistle off the field wouldnt have had to wait when guys who had serious drug problems were first ballot. He also this past offseason was seen with a stripper snorting coke and he had a blunt in his hand. He got very lucky he wasnt suspended just for that. Also has had an injury history. But the giants trusted that he will grow up and act right. Shoot martavis bryant is still getting opportunities. It's been seen CERTAIN teams are willing to overlook things. Tolerance is always high when production is.

 

As I heard one GM say in this regard, “There will be a GM out there who will make a move out of desperation”.

 

That's my whole point. But leveon hasnt even had a chance as a free agent to see if a dumb gm would make that move.

I think it will be a player for player trade. I keep seeing people who are talking draft picks, but why would the Steelers accept anything less that a 3rd, or why would a team give up a 1st or 2nd for a player that they can not keep?

It will be a veteran player that is completely overpriced and on the last year of his contract.

How did Bell perform in our runs for the SuperBowl? Based on what I remember and seeing and what happened, I might actually chose Conner. There has been what 1 playoff game won with Bell on the team? Bell had 47 yards against the Jaxasses. I have heard the argument that they had the best defense. Well, Bell is suppose to be the best RB.

 

So why was terrell Owens not first ballot due to problems on the field when guys with problems off the field wand high drug use were first ballot?

 

He did catch 9 catches for 91 yards and a td plus we were down by 21 all game with a defense who struggled to get one stop. We were primarily throwing the ball that game but that wasnt Bell's best game. I do agree he hasnt been the best in the playoffs as for the most part he's been hurt every playoff run.
