Linemen take a beating, too, but that isn't how salaries of athletes work. They are paid based on supply and demand. It is harder to find a quarterback than it is to find a running back. They also have more of an impact on the game. That is why they make more money and that is why they should continue to make more money than running backs.

Except These high salary QBs are unproven and most of them suck.

Look I've went back and forth with people here. Bell is not getting what he wants from pitt. I believe both parties should have moved in the offseason. My problem is they knew after last yr he wasnt signing long term without high gurantees and they franchise tag him again anyway knowing they wouldnt agree but then are now making him look like the bad guy. Should have just cut ties and bait like every pter team does and this all would be avoided. Now I do think the way the team is CURRENTLY constructed we cannot win a sb with this bad defense. I do think leveon not only based on skill but his respect around the league which caused defenses to gameplan for him would give us a puncher chance as an transcendent offense like KC..

Confused I am. I do think they are a SB contender but have zero idea what that has to do with my comment on Bell.

I will explain. You said he would only make a difference as an amazing linebacker. The chiefs have maybe a defense not as bad as ours but it's very close to as bad but yet why are they a sb contender? Because they have a transcendent offense with several elite weapons. Bell would make this offense on par with that of the chiefs and arguably better as the only guy on their o I'd rather have is kelce over McDonald or jesse.. with number 30 that is not the same we are just a good offense. Not just on numbers it also about respect and game planning as well.

I agree it's way to early to judge his impact on the team. I do like him and believe he will, barring injury, have a decent NFL career.

You like overrated players. Bell is overrated and nowhere near the caliber of RB that Barry Sanders, Jerome Bettis, Ladanian Tomlinson, Priest Holmes, Eric Dickerson, Emmit Smith... I could on and on. Bell has never taken over a game like those RBs did. Not even close. You act like Bell is the second coming of Walter Payton. You claim to be a Steelers fan, but OBJ is your favorite player?!?!? WTF? OBJ is not even a top 20 WR. Sorry man... but you are a slave to the hype. That's all Bell and OBJ are... HYPE.

Nobody is a superbowl contender after 3 games, especially the chiefs based on their hot and cold starts during their prior seasons, they have to face some stiff defenses coming up starting with denver this week...........

    Sporting news:

Mahomes has opened new offensive doors in Kansas City with his big arm and athleticism tailored to extend pass plays. But the Chiefs' goals don't end with video game-like highlights and happy fantasy football players. Expecting to come through in high-scoring affairs is living dangerously in the NFL, especially when tighter matchups await. Including that Jaguars game, the Chiefs will draw five of the NFL top 13 pass defenses in their final 13 games.

The Chiefs tend to go on some big losing streaks every year also.

I dunno. In hindsight we can say cut ties in off season. But remember, Bell was talking like he’d sign. Reports were they were close.

Then players were confident he’d show before week 1. There were few pointers that we’d reach this situation before we got here.

I think if we’d have just let Bell go, most would be calling the Steelers crazy.

That said, now we’ve reached this ****ty situation, you and I have agreed before on what the best outcome of this will be.

I agree but I never would judge any team past history with different QBs. That is the one position that can completely change lives.

Obj isnt a top 20 wr in the nfl? Seriously? And what about the playoff game vs kc when he had over 200 Yds rushing. He didnt take over that game?

I think they will give jax problems. Ramsey struggles with receivers who are quick. It isnt like ne when facing gronk you can dbl team because their outside receivers are no match for ramsey or bouye. You cant do that with sammy and especially tyreek. Plus Kareem hunt is a dual threat rb. I cant to watch that game should be a good one.

Your standards are way lower than mine. A person who cures cancer or invented penicillin to me can completely change lives. A QB shouldn’t affect anyone’s life who actually has a life.

Are you seriously trying to be that literal. I'm talking about change lives as in he can himmself turn an entire franchise around. No **** he isnt curing cancer or finding out the 1000s ways to make ppl live longer. Wasnt talking about it in that context.

Boswell took over that game. He scored all the points. Bell had 0.

I can name 20+ current NFL WRs better than OBJ. I'll list them tomorrow.

Correct he hit those field goals but isn't like he can hit a forked goal from anywhere on the field. He has to be setup in a feasible position to hit a field goal. Who set those up?
