So I guess Michael Irvin, deion sanders, kurt Warner, shannon sharpe, cris carter, ladanian Tomlinson, booger macfarland, and all the other football adcinados and analysts that basically I have echoed what they said about leveon are stupid to right and you know so much more then they do right?

Conner is no Le'veon. He's doing well enough though. The issue is not the offense. With Brown, Ju Jue, James Washington, Vance McDonald, Jesse James, etc and of course Ben Roethlisberger, the Steeler's offense will be fine without Bell.

They would have been foolish to pay his demands. They can go with a running back by committee.

It's obvious what they need is a top tier pass rusher, more speed at ILB, and need to get better with communication and play in the secondary. IMO.

Le'veon does not warrant the 18 x pay of conner. He doesn't provide 18 X the production.

Le'veon's been great, but his time is up here. Time to move on.

What does Bell get by signing and reporting by the November 13 deadline?

1. Another season accrued toward veteran status? He’s already an unrestricted FA (4+ accrued seasons).
2. Some impact on pension or post-career benefits? (Not that he seems to care about that.)
3. Free-agent eligibility at the end of 2018? Is he not eligible if he isn’t on the roster this season?
4. A big bump in tag salary? Definitely—sit out and he can tagged again for the same $14.4MM, otherwise it’s more like $21-$25MM. (Although it’s a different question whether any team would actually pick up the tag for that amount.)
