I'm thankful to him for the years he gave us. He was a great player for us. I am sorry it has come to this but I don't really hold any ill will towards him. I might not agree with what he is doing but I respect that it is his right to do it.

 

He looks bigger than a linebacker these days. I think he's converting to swollen fullback.

 

I understand what your saying and admire your position, BUT I can't even get on board with respecting his right to do it anymore. I'm sorry but there is a right way and a wrong way to do things...he is doing it the wrong way. My problem isn't even necessarily with him or this situation. I think my problem is bigger because we now live in a society where we are supposed to respect everyone for anything that they do, right or wrong, because it is the pc thing to do. I can't buy into that (this is my problem not necessarily anyone else's)! Sometimes there is a clear cut right or wrong and the right thing should be done because, well, it is the right thing to do! Damn, I have officially become my parents.

 

If his own teammates are revolting and bad talking him, then you know he really did enough to screw them over and leave them high and dry. By all accounts, it seems like him and his agent pulled a fast one on the team right before the season started. SELFISH is an understatement. It's not like he was ever a choir boy without drama here either.

First Post.... go gently on me lol. I think that it speaks volumes about his character when his teammates have spoken out against him. I appreciate his contributions in the past but his time as a Steeler was also met with some disappointment. He was/is a great player but if I was on the team I wouldn't want him back. Trust me on this, Conner wont make us forget him, but he will be a really good player for us.

 

That’s the point with many of us. It’s not what he is doing. It is how he is doing it.
