Lets be honest here, what makes Bell special is his receiving abilities and James, so far, is giving them that.

Bell's first 3 games in 2016 when he had a offseason and preseason like connor did this past yr 263 rushing yards, 5.5 yards a carry, 20 catches while averaging 8.8 yDs per catch and like the other guy said leveon faced far tougher fronts then this guy. No one is game planning to stop a back who can only run through wide open holes like connor. Doesnt require anything special to stop him.

Proves what teams think of an average talent like him vs a hof talent like leveon...

The 'man in the box' stats can easily be skewed by other facts..... think about this..... last year at this time we only had 1 legit WR (AB), it was mid-late into the season before JuJu developed into a threat. Now this year, defenses have to deal with AB & JuJu, so you're gonna need DB's to cover. It's really kinda remedial common sense guys and gals.

Conner is performing well enough to stay in games and there is no drop off in production compared to bell (yet). Of course he'll have better and worse games, but he seems to be filling in admirably, while bell is home pouting.

BTW, the deal breaker to any trade deals is that somehow you've got to convince Bell to report prior to the trade deadline. If he doesn't want to get dealt to a crappy team like the jets then all he has to do is sit until after the trade deadline, report after week 10 and then get to pick his potential suitors next year.

You did. But I am 100% for that. Screw it, don't care what anyone says. That's a MASSIVE upgrade for the defense.

Conner will very likely not be the back Bell is, but he'll be more than serviceable. Hell, the dude is on pace for 1,100+ rushing yards and 700+ receiving... that's all coupled with improvements from Juju and James Washington, who I like a lot so far.

Can you blame him? He's like 60 and used to play tennis.

Conner doesn't need wide open holes though. You dissing a good kid and cancer survivor speaks very poorly of you. So does misspelling his name on purpose.

He’s a millennial still waiting on his balls to drop. Did you really expect something more?

It is. I would have liked it better if he was a couple years younger but hell with it. He'd still help out tremendously.

I didnt even misspell it on purpose honestly. That's your problem just like everyone else. Because hes a good guy and everything hes been to though along with the leveon situation you all continue to prop him up as something he is not.

So he disproves your statement in a direct 3 game comparison and you moved the goal posts after the fact by adding different criteria is that how this works?

He’s not on Bells level yet and maybe never will but he is providing an element that’s close to it and he is only 3 games into to starting.

You are doing the opposite though and tearing him down making him out to be terrible. He’s a good back giving the Steelers what they need. He has to improve on his rushing yardage but his pass catching has been very good and yards per carry also very good. The line wasn’t doing much for him though, you could see he was running into a brick wall.

And he didnt disprove my statement. He brought up the first 3 games out of no where. I never mentioned the first 3 games initially.

Wide open holes...We have not been watchimg the same games...I have seen Conner churn out some very tough, hard fought yards...

Not dance around in the backfield like Bell

You do know Earl is a UFA after this season, he's looking for his last big contract in 2019. I don't see the Steelers being interested in a 1 year rental, who they probably wouldn't re-sign.

A lot of you guys that are arguing over Conner in relation to this team against Bell are forgetting 1 major point..

Bell will be making $15 million next year while Conner will be making may be a million? Something along those lines.

That’s $14 million to upgrade our team. A CB, MLB or OLB or he’ll, may be even a couple solid guys at those positions. How much better does that make our team?

The drop off from Bell to Conner in terms of production is not worth $14 million dollars. Which is why RB’s across the league are not getting paid. They are easily replaced
