I like him, but dude disappears alot no sacks missed tackles also getting beat in coverage. Fans get on Dupree often, at least he showed up against the Bucs with a sack and a pick six. Watt hasn't done anything since the Cleveland game.

These LBs are meant to rush the passer, it seems like they are always dropping into coverage?

I hate Hasselbeck but watch sportscenter and see what TJ was doing on those blitzes or fighting against.

I’m glad Dupree got some numbers but he was quite fortunate. A gift Int TD and a coverage Sack. Still in the places he was supposed to be.

Seems like they are trying to find someone/anyone who can cover backs/TE’s.

He disappeared tonight but it opened Bud up for big plays. Their Oline made sure he wasn't going to be a factor. Not worried.

Problem with Watt is he’s a one trick pony as little Mikey says. He can rush the passer that’s it. If he has to cover we are up **** creek

It looked like he and others were slipping a lot and had no traction on that turf.

Prior to the game and during a storm, Addidi Kikiwad (spelling) reported that TB never tarps their field.

Of course, we used to ice down the numbers/sideline part of the field at Three Rivers eh?

TJ better work on his coverage skills, and needs to get into weight room.

Dupree has a solid game and the usual suspects are picking it apart.
Watt doesn’t do squat and barely a peep.

Watt was in coverage on TB final play, incomplete pass. Was on Howard tight on that seem route completion, but like every DB, had no idea where the ball was. Ball awareness, can't that be taught?

Watt is the least of our problems. Dupree played ok. Chickillo made his presence known here and there. Anyone else looking forward to adding OA into a rotation. I still say of they're not gonna use Thomas on the edge or anywhere else for that matter we should look into giving Adams a shot. Conditioning seems to be a issue early on. I think a 4 man rotation at OLB would be a lot more beneficial than just the 3. One of these guys could be used as a pass rush specialist on 3rd and long...IMO.

He's fine....everyone was raving about his coverage skills last year. Saying he could even play MLB. There are gonna be passes that whistle by your ear once in awhile. Like you said he was in on the final play and was in Howard's pocket on the other one. He made a couple of the most athletic plays you will ever see from a OLB in coverage last year. Like I said no PS and learning a new side of the line....not worried.

Dupree was better than Watt vs. Bucs. I can't believe I just typed that.

I think it has to do with scheme.. Watt dropping back into coverage is not something he excels at.

Are outside linebackers designed for coverage? They're making him do things that shouldn't have to be done in the first place. That should be the inside LB's guys job and the DB's, since they're useless, Butler is forcing players into something that they aren't designed to do.

Watt was used sometimes to take away the easy throws to Howard. I guess they didn't want a Kelce performance from OJ...

Watt was asked to do far too much in coverage last night, but he also missed tackles and struggled in just about every way. Dupree was definitely better, though he missed badly on a potential sack.

It's Bud so he probably just missed him but I wondered at the time how much was due to him not wanting to tackle and fall on the QB. You almost have to try to hit them from the side and sling them down (just not too hard).

Vince Williams managed what they are looking for on the false start. He wrapped Fitzpatrick and spun him to the ground, landing next to him.

Looking at the stats Watt did have one more tackle than Dupree....just sayin' . Dupree did have that amazing INT though. I still don't know how he made it the entire 10 yds to paydirt :hehehe:
