Butler should have been fired as soon as last season ended. That said, I don't see how firing him tomorrow is going to fix that defense. They are a complete mess.

Fire the entire staff after this season......Pitiful!

 

That being said I don't know what you can do to teach a player when you are in zone coverage you defend against the guy in your zone you don't just stand there and act like you have to defend a three feet wide circle like its a video game.

Made me laugh in the off-season when defense staff was safe.

 

I don't think it will do any good at all. As long as Tomlin is here, nothing changes. Besides, high quality DC's aren't sitting at home right now, they all have jobs. Tomlin took over in 2007. In 2009 our once feared defence sucked and has sucked ever since. And don't give me that crap of being ranked highly. Limiting yards means nothing. Our highly ranked defence got lit up by Tebow. Our defence has absolutely sucked since 2009. Tomlin has had 10 years to fix this mess and hasn't been able to. How much longer does he need?

 

The problem is Tomlin, dumb as a fuggin stump. 8-8 will be an accomplishment this year.

What are they going to do though bring in Rex Ryan? Rob Ryan? who do you get to coach these guys?
