Randy admits to sharing the love with the rb reps. Connor was looking a lil gassed in the 4th and may of caused the fumble. Maybe not but still a good idea to share a few reps.

Ain't holding my breath as we haven't seen much of what's in the cupboard since Bell got here unless said option was hurt/or on time out. I don't care what anybody says... Giving a guy some rest while changing the pace with personnel or apologies for saying this... using multi back formations is not going to hurt the team or its star RB. It only (A)gives a dude a chance to catch his breath/keep him fresh in game and in season...
    (B) changing personnel/pace of backfield keeps a D guessing and gassing and (C) keeps aD honest and gives the O a handful of more options in order to keep that D guessing gassing and honest and busy as **** in the film room. Bell and Williams with a creative coordinator could've been lethal. Same can be done with Conner and the stable.

With that said what's the over under on Conner at 30+carries Sunday? their refusal to get the other horses involved is almost surpassing my years long hatred of the D leaving the middle of the field open for those 3rd and 15+ up for the takers.

Three words for Randy.......Yeah no ****! ....you hear r Tomlins excuse? Woefully sad.....He said something to the effect that it was one of Conners strengths and why they were attracted to him and how he remembers all those TDs during Conners Soph. year....what that has to do with the price of tea in China I haven't a clue....how he fails to realize how important a fresh RB is when trying to close out a game leaves me dumbfounded....it was the guys first serious action in over 2 years...nah! he's good ,don't forget that Soph. season....

Oh come on Randy, we've been saying this for years now. This a suppose to be a professional NFL coaching staff and no coaches or assistance can't see this or even suggest it to you. Do want someone to yell from the stands to you to give your RB a breather.

If Fitchner and Tomlin overworked Conner to make a point to Bell then they’ve lost my respect. You are now risking Conner’s career and livelihood. For what?

Always been the style since Tomlin has been there...Had a competent backup in Blount, then DeAngelo...But chose to run " Bells wheels off "...

Had been his style since he's been here...Why do you think it would change now

Snap counts for RB's are crap, You don't hear the OL complaining about snap counts, they are every bit as physical as the RB's. Ben touches the ball on every single snap, gets knocked down plenty, and you don't hear him complaining about snap counts, same with AB.

You pay these players to play. Conner might not make it full strength to the Super Bowl, but I bet he can stay strong until week 10.... then week 11 we run the wheels off bell until the SB. You don't pay these guys to sit and play patty cake. Everyone knows RB's can get onto a hot streak and sometimes it takes a lot of reps to get there.

He got the same snaps Bell gets, he's just not used to it.

I'm all for getting him a breather from time to time though.

I hope they run it thru them all day rain or shine and control the clock. A shootout would be exciting but would rather see them avoid that if they can.

Hmmmm......strange that QBs,OL and WRs typically have much longer careers than RBs......can't think of a reason why :hmm:.

Precisely. Wth 2 of them also being RBs...3 if you wanna count Nix. Besides the fact Conner was "obviously " worn down which can clearly be seen ,even on tv.,he was also running with both arms around the ball after the fumble which isn't exactly conducive to running effectively. You can tell the fumble was in his head and yet he still didn't get a chance to catch a breath and regroup mentally and physically.....but it was realized a couple days later....which helps

I like the way Bob Labriola put it. If they had subbed a cold running back in because they knew Conner was gassed and he had fumbled, the fan base would be screaming bloody murder about the staff pulling a guy who had rushed for over 100 yards and 2 TD's. Sometimes you just can't win. For the record I am in favor of giving a guy a breather and using the full rotation to keep guys fresh

People were mad that this didn't happen in the first game and now are mad that it sounds like it is going to happen in the future. If you already thought he was an idiot for not doing it then it should be comforting to know that at least he recognized his idiocy.

You can tell by the 4 min to go in the fourth he was just worn out that should be on the coaches to pick that up. The one play where Ben is getting hit and hands it quick to Conner and he tries to run but you can tell he has nothing in the tank.

Dumb attempt to justify it by him.....how about he was given a few plays off before the fumble. Any break he could get during the game would help to keep him fresher later...no one is saying you have to run Conner until he has nothing left then put in a cold running back. Once your legs are gone they're gone you won't recover enough during the same game.

The whole Steeler coaching staff does not know how to use the personnel. It's a shame.
Watch the DL rotation, here again is another poor job of managing personnel.
