Vance McDonald was a full participant at practice today, according to Steelers.com

"It felt good," said McDonald. "I was full go. It's great to be back out there."

When I see McDonald on the field vs. Chiefs, I'll believe it.

He's one of the top paid tight ends in the league. Time for him to step up.

I know where the jokes come from but when he is on the field, he simply adds a different dynamic than compared to JJames.

He’s a much better blocker and can stretch the field. We all saw what he is capable of last playoffs against the Jags.

Remember he did all that when the Jags were the #1 team against TE’s.

He’s an athletic freak. But can’t atay healthy and has the drops once in awhile.

You have better odds of being struck by lightning while being eaten by a shark during a meteor strike than VM being healthy

The Jags were also covering 4 other receivers going deep while he was picking up 5 and 10 yard passes and taking them for another 5 or 10 yards. They weren't worried about the underneath stuff. He was a no-show when it mattered.

For god's sake don't throw it at Vance. It might injure him.

If I were the Steelers I would try to move him somehow.

How long does he have to be on the field for you to believe it? :smiley1:

Maybe I'm missing something, what did he do in the regular season last year?

This simply isn't accurate. I get some people are very frustrated with McDonald, but sticking your head in the sand and ignoring what he can do when he is healthy just doesn't make sense.

The McDonald’s McRib sees more yearly action than Vance McDonald.

Less costly and easier to swallow at the price.

You're right. He did have 1 catch for about 25 yards. The rest were short pass and run, and he only had 1 catch in the entire first half, and 6 drops throughout the game. I just rewatched every offensive snap from the game. I would rewatch the entire season to prove my point, but he wasn't suited up for about half of it and he only had a couple catches when he was.

You’d have to deliver him to his new team in an ambulance

Was he practicing wearing sweats and standing on the sideline? He has the potential to be better at that than Duce Staley ever was.

Just kidding. Here's hoping he stays healthy and makes the most of it this year.

I remember when he had that TD where he ran past grimace and then stiff-armed hamburglar. Wait... am I thinking of the right guy?

He did not drop six passes. Just because he was targeted 16 times and caught 10 does not mean all six incompletions were drops.

What you are doing is making things up to try to support a point that doesn't hold up. When he plays, he's makes a big difference. Sadly, that doesn't happen nearly often enough.
