Why not Mike? Isn't it the current elephant in the room? I don't know how conceivable it is to try and stop players from being jackasses on social media....but man IMO he's not even trying because he doesn't want to hurt his guys feelings....I just don't know anymore about this team. Million dollar talents and 10 cent brains....and no one seemingly reeling them in....

My son brought his geography test home today in which he received a 69% score and I was very disappointed.

I look at the athletes on social media and I swear he is a genius in comparison.

Probably not going to be a popular answer, but me thinks there's more to this story than what the reporter, Jacob Klinger is alluding to. AB threatened to break a reporter's jaw on Twitter because he asked him a question about last year's Facebook live? That doesn't sound like Antonio Brown.

Reporter: AB, do you plan on doing another Facebook Live in the locker room this year?

AB: <tweets> I WILL BREAK YOUR JAW

Seriously though, what's Tomlin going to say here?

The context is so obscure in that response. Was he angry? Is he alluding to doing some so jaw dropping good it will break people's jaw? Is he a snake? Is this slang. It's like he trying to tell us something.

These are grown ass men. Tomlin is not their friggin daddy. If you are upset about something AB did, why not be mad at AB? Again, these are grown men and Tomlin is not their father anyway. It is on them how they act off the field, not him.

I know how your son feels. I can’t even find Yugoslavia on a map anymore. And I thought Pluto was a planet?

He may not be their dad but he is their boss. Being stupid away from work can have consequences on your job.

Washington wrote a not particularly flattering article about AB.

Why should this have any consequences? It's at worst a stupid twitter beef. No one alive thinks AB is actually going to try to break this guy's jaw.

Yes I hadn't viewed the tweet at that point. Now seeing it I still say what's the context? Wait till I see you brought gonna see what your jaw like. Yeah it could be a threat I guess. Sounds like me and my brothers on any given day really but let's get riled up about it.

Am I the only one who finds it quaint that in today's world of death threats or worse on line, AB went old school with a busted jaw threat?

Not sure I've heard one of those since the early 80s.

I've been impressed by his maturity this preseason and staying away from social media more than in the past. However it has to be hard for him to not engage and something like this shows just how hard it is.

Tomlin handled it well. Ultimately he's working to manage yet another distraction by focusing on things that WON'T be a distraction. Oddly enough he's doing a good job handling it, while many people are interpreting it as the opposite.

As for AB, he's a narcissist. It's obvious. The haircut, the gold chains, and the helicopter arrival gives it away. Not necessarily a bad thing from a football perspective. They don't handle criticism or exposure well. They can only hear the good stuff about them. He has an over inflated image of himself, which isn't bad from a football perspective as many times we are what we think we are. Thinking one's helps translates to it if the skills are there to back it up, which in his case they are.

I have no problem with what was said in the article that got him upset. https://theundefeated.com/features/...stagram-all-pro-but-is-that-the-full-picture/

The coaches job is to try and manage these egos which are inevitable. These are grown men. What's Tomlin going to do, suspend any player that says anything outside of what is approved on Twitter? Is this Nazi Germany? Why would anyone want to play on that type of a team?

At the end of the day, everyone is responsible for what they say. Tomlin is diverting the negative distractions into the positive. I like how he's handling all of this. It's not as easy as some suggest. I'm sure he's mentioning it, but ultimately

He got reactionary and pissed. It's real easy communicate your feelings real quick now a days. Not a big deal. If he left it up with repeated threats, than that is a problem, but that didn't happen.

It shows he realized his error. I don't even think an "assault" charge would even be taken seriously.

No and I didn't put a gun in his mouth either like Lloyd did.

He was very disappointed as well. That, I can live with.
