its games like these that end up ruining the season every year because the road to the super bowl always runs through Foxboro because we blow a game or two to inferior teams. Team sleepwalks through game against sub 500 games for the past decade.
It just gets old. En was a disaster and playcalling matched it. The wr on top of screen had a defensive back ten yards off but we never throw a five yard hitch. We will underachieve again and if we do I hope we bomb out completely and fire the coach and qb and get on with real rebuild under a new real coach. How many 14 point leads have been blown by Steelers in history

Everyone seems to be missing the be big thing here. The defense played well the offense horrible the defensive starters played in the preseason the offensive did not. This falls completely on Tomlin

It would be nice if people knew what they were talking about. Follow the freaking turnovers people. The Steelers are lucky the game ended in a tie and not a loss.

Ben has these kinds of stinkers every year regardless of coaching. This is how Ben's played QB his entire career. When Ben is on he's good. When he's off he's terrible. Inconsistent Ben makes it extremely difficult to have offensive consistency regardless of the coaches and players he has around him.

IMO this game would had been over earlier without the mistakes that Ben made.

They had a 14 point lead before gifting the ball to the Browns with about 7 minutes left in the game for crying out loud. So how is this Tomlins fault? Did he knock the ball out of Conner's hand or Ben? The hate some of you have for Tomlin amazes me. This tie, which really feels like a loss, sickens me but I can't put this on Tomlin.

New offensive coordinator, new defensive line/DB coach, away game on a rainy day, no lev bell etc. etc. etc.

and not to mention the turnovers by a veteran QB like Ben who should know better than to constantly force it to Brown. Seriously, how many years does he have to play to learn that it's a bad idea? Be like Brady, throw to the man open - irregardless of who it is. that's Brady's secret to winning; He doesn't cater to egos. Tomlin shouldn't have to tell Ben what he already knows. Steeler's get one of those turnovers back, and they most likely win the game. That being said, I'm sure they will get better as they gel over time. The defense looks promising and improved from last year. Ben will come around.

Actually you have it completely backwards. The whole starting defense never saw any preseason action and only had one Day together during training camp.

The defense and running game were solid. Ben on the otherhand laid a giant egg.

Everyone played a bunch with the exception of Watt. Heck some even played into the second half of the last preseason game. Ben, Brown, Foster, Pouncey, and even JuJu to a point did not get much time or any

First off I am not a Tomlin fan but how can you blame MT for this and better yet how many damn threads do we need to hate MT on? Turnover after turnover, come on. We had a lead with 7:44 to go, a lead by the way that if we would of lost the game would have been the biggest lead we gave up in the 4th quarter in franchise history...........

Ben is a vet and needs to play like one, this isn't the old west he needs to stop trying to make something happen every single play. He needs to learn to live to fight another day, the thing that makes Ben good is also what makes him bad. There is a lot of blame here so let's not just give it to MT, don't get me wrong I would love to but at the end of the day he wasn't the one coughing up the ball time after time.

My only real problem with Tomlin was that in OT he played for a 45 yard field goal in a downpour. That was pretty stupid IMO. I know Boswell is clutch but cmon. I really had no anticipation of him making that kick. We were moving the ball pretty consistently at that point. Should have tried to get down inside the 20 at least in those conditions.

Well it's not my only problem with him but that was a big mistake. I don't know to me it's strange how they don't trust Ben in certain situations but then at the same time they allow him to do the dumb **** that he does....just like sometimes we are overly aggressive or overly passive.

I personally think tomlin might be worse coach in the league but that being said this game is 100 percent on ben....... The defense showed up but Ben kept putting them in bad situations... this game is all on ben........

He probably trusted Boswell more at that point, then Ben. Can't blame him.

Defense did well but then again look who we were playing. Nothing to be bragging about IMO. Penalties also cost us from getting the ball back on a couple of possessions and we still have no plan against running QB's.

The defense redeemed itself from the poor playoff performance vs. Jags. But hey... this was Tyrod Taylor, not Blake Bortles.

It really is amazing how much fans want to blame the head coach when it is the players on the field that were making the mistakes. This wasn't a game where the Steelers were out schemed or out coached. It was a game where the players on the field kept turning the freaking ball over. There really isn't much Tomlin can do about that other than to bench players, but I can't imagine anyone wanted Tomlin to pull Ben and he was the primary problem.
