I agree, but I see so much hate and vitriol directed towards him that it takes me a bit aback. He is the same somewhat likeable dope that he's been all along. He just isn't doing what the fans like now so he is being painted as a horrible person. To me he seems nice enough but just unprofessional and possibly not very mature.

I get the sentiments of the players, but as usual with this team there is way too much talk coming out of the locker room. Nothing good comes from it.

So everyone would be perfectly happy with him had he simply said when he was tagged that he was going to sit out as long as he could? Yeah, I don't think so. People are mad that Bell turned down a contract offer and isn't thrilled to be playing for less than he is worth (because it's more than we will ever see). And people are mad because he is doing something that threatens the Steelers success. He's supposed to care more about that than he cares about himself.

Frustration cases emotions which causes occasional unpleasant responses. It happens to me. I’m guessing it happens to a lot of others?

I think you might be underestimating the number of people who respect an honest person?

Me personally would rather see the money spent elsewhere. Our offense has been fine without him, next offseason would rather have that cap space than money tied up in 27-28 year old back with a lot of miles on him. People are mad because he's acting weird and not having a line of communication with the team that we know of. It's the players that are upset as well (specifically oline about him not saying when he will make him self available) , not just the fans. You really want that kind of money tied up into him?You wanna throw him the bag just because you're in love with the guy? I think that'll hurt the Steelers in the long run... The steelers are simply taking advantage of the tag as it's there for the time being. Can't be mad about that. Bell can be upset but the world doesn't stop turning. He has been offered deals 2 years in a row for a lot of money, he's trying to max it out and the Steelers simpy can't or won't do that

    Let’s put things into perspective.....

Bell will get paid $14+ million for playing this season..... only one of his teammates will make more this season (Ben).... so 99% of the players are making less than Bell..... and are in camp working hard..... ready for game 1. So how much player “support” do you really think exists? Belle placed his own value above every player on the team except Ben. He’s being a spoiled brat and everyone on the team has every reason to call him out.

All my friends absolutely hate the Steelers and they all think Bell is acting a fool. I would screenshot my texts received from the last couple days and post it here, if I knew how.

I'd side with multiple hall of famers takes and football analysts over your friends.

Actually, at the moment, I’ve seen more and more hall of famers slamming Bell. As for analysts, you would be better off listening to gypsies.

The ones in black and gold in the locker room. You know the ones that matter and aren't clinging to a broadcast job in the hopes they can have one last taste of football

Foster nor pouncey are hall of famers. Ben is one. Ab even said he still supports bell and didnt get into that nonsense. Everyone has slammed them including analyst who didnt played for criticizing bell and trying to count another players pocket. It's a just locker room rule that you dotn do. You all talk about me so much you will NEVER EVER here anyone in their locker room comment on another players contract situation. Bill may have cut both pouncey and foster.

The only hall of Famer that went off on him that is his teammate is ben. Foster and pouncey arent close to HOF. Bell is closer than both of them are. Only other guy on the roster with his credentials is AB and he actually said he's behind bell.

They aren't commenting on his contract, his money or his business which is the point all the former players and analysts are missing. They are commenting on his attitude and behavior. They are commenting on his actions. Don't tell them you will be there and punk out. Don't have your agent say he shows up when he shows up. Strap on a pair and tell your teammates that you are going to sit out the 10 games.

He is screwing over his teammates. Any teammate who supports him now is an idiot.

What is it with you and hall of famers? Why does the HOF give their opinions anymore merit than anyone else. Michael Irvin's opinion means zero to me, I'm old enough to remember his checkered past.

Because most fans look at it as a oh he should take one for the team perspective. The players view is not from that perspective.
