    According to my fantasy news..
Bells agent says bell doesnt want to have more than 400 touches for free agency and is worried about himself and his future. Does not care about a championship like most pros..bell had 430 with 1 playoff game..
Looks like week3-6 , cuffs off connor and look to the future .

man that is a slippery slope if players want to put number of touches into their contract...

He's not trying to negotiate that.. what hes saying is he doesn't want another 400 touches without a long term deal cause that could hurt his value so his way of ensuring minimum usage is to sit out games. If he sits out 10 games thats 250 to 300 touches less that he still has in the tank.. teams absolutely look at mileage on a RB when assessing value

We will pull the offer way before week 10 if he pulls that stunt, he will forfeit 14 million.... Freaking brilliant move by another genius jock!!

I have trust in Conner, but I wouldn't be surprised if we use Samuels as a 3rd down back for pass protection reasons.

Yup, as others have noted, his agent is hinting towards holding out into the season. What a D-bag.

Steelers will be ok, it's not like they haven't been without Bell before and Conner is looking good.

I wouldn't pull the offer, I wouldn't give him ANY reps with the starters during practice and deactivate him every week.

Pull a James Harrison on him. How about zero touches you *******? And the first negative syllable to come out of his mouth, I'd suspend him for conduct detrimental to the team.

Does this Einstein realize that he's never got to make back the money he's forfeiting by sitting out?

He's holding out for that big $1 Billion guaranteed money contract next year making this season look like chump change (I'm sort of surprised he hasn't written a rap about it with all this free time on his hands).

Is a paycheck player going to mind if you deactivate him (as long as he still gets paid while he's there)? Yeah, he won't get his stats or whatever, but if he already believes he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, the ability to avoid injury trumps all else.

Many of the team leaders sound done with Bell, honestly.

Has Bell ever had good breakaway speed? He's very efficient at getting those 5+ yards per carry, which he tends to do on nearly every carry. Plus he's a good receiver, better than most in the league. I think people are too focused on his carries they forget he's also good as a receiver.

Thats an excellent point, that makes sense. Few days ago, his teammates were still backing him, now that it looks like he will be sitting out into the season they are pissed at him and rightfully so.

Along with Samuels receiving ability. I think his receiving ability is every bit of good as Bells. This of course is just a projection, he now has to prove it.

All right let’s go. Remember when people said his teammates had his back and the stuff didn’t get them upset. They know it’s a business blah blah blah.

So bell has to accept the tag by week 10 to play and steelers have the option to tag him again for the same amount?
Give it a few weeks most and evaluate where the team is, rescind the tag, and use that money to adress the D and add depth.
Bells diaper will be full and he will start slow where ever he ends up.

I don't think Bell is going to sit out the season. He skipped all of training camp and preseason, why not show up for 16 games and take home $14 million? He'll show up for the Browns game.
